You might find the race on Justintv or the like. If you can access BigPond, you should get a live stream. Can't blame ya' for not having a bet Tam. The only reason I am, is because it's almost a national holiday here. If I hadn't done a blog on the event, I probably wouldn't have got wrapped up in the race. Americain looks a huge chance, but have taken another who's going well. Niwot. Shocking name for a horse.
Rounders, Tullamore is one I really fear, for sure. Looks like there's a fair bit going for it, goes there with strong form.
I would be tempted to lay Americain. Likely to run into a place with a brave run but it will have to be special to win again.
I'm with you in that sense Ron. That said, he has looked every bit a worthy favourite this season, but if pushed he would have to be a lay. If he is special enough to win it though, fair play to him.
MOURAYAN. SCRATCHED. Shifted a plate in Saturday's Mackinnon. He pulled up lame. Stable vet advised fitting bar plates to the front legs to offset the injury. Horse passed fit by vets at 6am, but after that, soreness found in toe of offending foot.
Morning/Afternoon Cyc...thanks for the form guide. I always think it is so hard for a NH horse to win, regardless of last year and the exploits of the peerless DW..Fascinating contest and I feel like a kid trying to pick the winner of the Grand National in that i'm totally clueless to the Aussie form. Worth setting the old alarm clock for though...having a glass of merlot with some oreo biscuits..well,Santa wouldn't mind getting nothing this year!
Some fancy head gear on display from the runners...Jeff Banks would love to talk us through it no doubt..BTW you can keep him when the race is over!!
Mate, you may be on the other side of the planet, struggling with the form, but so are we. I can't remember a more wide open race. Nice to be chatting with someone with a famous friend.
Cyc,love this race even though tomorrow at work is gonna be a struggle..I like the Japanese concept of power naps and day beds at work!...the great thing is no one knows him here, even in in his home town...
