Pritchard and Roberts look sharp and Ballard looks the business. Still work to do on the squad but we look on track.
Never watched butbpal just text me and said Ballard is a ‘****ing Rolls-Royce’ compared him to Jonny Evans. Is this what you lads seen too?
Good stuff today. Defence solid. Cirkin and Hume both good. Ballard looks some boy. Evans and Neil great base. Neil today showed why I think the world of him, always on the half turn, looking to play forward, passing is just class. He also added thay tenacity to win the ball back and stop them. At times Evan was the one to go forward and Neil sat. Thought he was class. Pritchard and Roberts both quality as well. When Neil has them to aim for it looks great. The short pass into Pritchard from Neil to start the move for our first took 3 of their midfield right out of the game. Couple of downsides were Dajaku seemed to struggle out left. I thought he tried too hard and ended up not relaxed enough to play. Diamond through the middle was an odd one, but didnt look right. I dont see both of them staying in the squad. Overall though we dont half have some good players and can look forward to the season. MoM Neil, just ahead of Ballard and Pritch.
Was really impressed with Dan Neil like, especially first half, just needs to take more care at times but hoping he can really crack on this season
He looks the part mate. He is a big strong lad, but looks like he reads it very well and is good on the deck. We have had a lot of good defenders in my time watching us, looks to me like we have another in him.
Do we know what we paid? Conflicting reports but seems around the £2mill mark? Sounds a snip based on the early feedback. Great to her Neil had a good game, big season for the lad.
