Alese sounds quite a unit. Tall, fast, good on the ball and left footed. A good addition to the back four. Pure speculation on my part but might he have the capability to fill in as a mid-field enforcer? We have missed having a mid-field physical presence in some games. Just a thought.
He can play right wing, left wing, up front, centre half, right back, left back, in goal and centre midfield mate. Luke Onien wears Aji Alese pajamas
Think it involved the story of Zouma kicking his cats and this kid had posted something but before the management had chance to speak to him Aji gad beaten them too it - they praised his leadership skills.
Cracking interview that. Sounds a really intelligent and humble lad. Really impressed with his outlook and attitude. Massive uprooting for him but I reckon he will love us.
Yes, that was the one. I can't find a link but apparently he was straight in there to sort it out. Sounds like a top lad.
Living 5 mins from west ham training ground aged 21.........nah I'll gan to Sunderland. Big call from the lad and absolutely fair play to him, brave decision. Sounds like he has what it takes to do well here.
I have pinged a fella in their academy I know (distantly) to ask about him. Be interesting to hear what, if anything, he says as he will have coached him.
West Ham can't be letting him go without there being a cheap buy back option. I wouldn't be surprised if, in the event of him turning out to be very good they get him back for a relatively small amount like cirkin (£6m). In other words a cheap long term loan that we can profit on yet not as much profit as we would get in normal circumstances. Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining. I've been saying for years that Sunderland need to find a creative system/angle to nullify the fact we aren't down south, can't pay the wages etc and it seems we've found one.
