Think it will be moved the weekend we hear something mate? Would settle a few nerves that are starting to arise
Should be sorted by weekend is out. No reason not to be now. Club need to close up some deals definitely. Squad is light in a few areas. Saying that, all clubs are having issues. Domino effect from PL will happen soon though. That said, the recruitment team have show then can get the right player who fits their parameters due to the investment made from the top table. Guess it's like a giant game of chess. They have done amazingly well to close up Clarke and Ballard, both had so many other clubs in.
Broadhead is worth the risk for me. I wonder who the centre half is. I was hoping we’d go for someone like Colwill but I imagine he’ll have better offers.
I'm working in London and last night Evening Standard were reporting that Colwill is likely to go to Palace.
If you look around at the sort of strikers, certainly in this country, that are realistic then I think Broadhead would be a cracking permanent signing. I appreciate his injury record is a worry, but I am prepared to think that can be managed, and plenty of players have struggled as younger players but gone on to be relatively injury free. If we get Broadhead, we know he is match ready, then we can drop into prem u23 loan market, or an overseas player, for a 3rd at the end of the window.
The important thing is we know he has the talent. If his hamstring issues can be sorted, rather than managed,he can be a real match winner for us. It's what the medics think,I guess.
Definitely an interesting one re broadhead. Quality player who wants to come to us. We want him but the deal will have to be right. Given his injury record but his contract situation does help us . Think Bob mentioned the package is extremely significant. I would take the risk personally.
Blushes I hope we are enquiring about Delap from City on loan he fits the mould of our recruitment strategy to a tee.
Has there been anything mentioned about Stewart and a new deal? I know we have the option of a year but I think we should be getting him on a new deal for as long as we can manage, 3 should be minimum we get him signed up to with the option if another 1.
