lots of women jockeys , why not F1? Similar stamina / size requirements in both sports. Quite a few female drivers in NASCAR. Anyway, watching NL vs Portugal. Quite like a bit Nookie with Nookie, I must say.
You have just conjured up in my mind 'Whispering Ted Lowe' saying 'and now shes calling for the extention'
Prejudice? I'd never watch women's football but it has nothing to do with prejudice. I'd never watch wheelchair or blind football but it has nothing to do with prejudice. It's simply inferior. It's like saying 'put aside your prejudice on cheap wine and appreciate it for what it is' ... ... if I have the opportunity to drink the good stuff why would I drink an inferior product just because it exists. 'prejudice' means pre-judged, trying something and finding it inferior is a judgement
Did I see the sub headings right. Did the commentary say there was a lack of diversity because the England team was white ? Seriously? Surely a mistake ?
DAN WOOTTON: No wonder we're turning off the woke BBC in our droves when they're using our brilliant football Lionesses to stoke racial divisions, while their own Gary Lineker-topped First XI rich list remains exclusively white https://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/...ootball-Lionesses-stoke-racial-divisions.html Do you think they would have brought a lack of diversity into it had they lost 8-0? the appalling implication of this is that some of those players in that victorious team should not have been there because they were white
Watched part of the France game and it was OK, will probably stick the match on tonight as I'm trying to get my girls into football . Biggest issue for me is the standard of player is either really good or really poor, there doesn't seem to be much in between. Also the goalkeeping is usually bloody awful.
The US women’s team (best in the world for a long time) were hammered off Dallas U15 boys team. U18’s would puzzle women’s teams, they’re much stronger and fitter than 14 year olds.
This is one part of The Game where the ladies are at a severe disadvantage, when compared to the men. The goals have remained the same size since the Rules were first written, (as far as I'm aware). In the mens game though, the goalkeepers haven't. There have of course been exceptions along the way, like William (who at all the pies) Foulke who was 6ft 4ins, but most were well under that. Even Frank Swift, a post- war England stalwart, considered a 'giant' was only 6ft 2ins. The tallest Sunderland keeper I can ramember as a youngster was Willie Frazer who was 6ft. Jimmy Monty was 5ft 10ins. In those halcyon days when SAFC were the Team of All Talents, Ned Doig 5ft 9ins played over 400 games for us. Getting up to date, one of the criticisms leveled at Jordan Pickford is that he is too small at 6ft 1ins. Both Gordon ang Mignolet were considered average at 6ft 4ins. The TALLEST of the three Keepers in the current Lioness's Squad is 5ft 8.5ins. It's unrealistic to expect that any of them will be as competant as their equivalent Mens counterpart.
Here we go... A female porno movie about to begin "I fink England will go froo and overload their box"
Not as good as the other night, but still decent enough. Better towards the end of the half. Still plenty of technical quality to enjoy in my opinion.
Watching the game, it's more entertaining than some of the men's England games I've seen in the past... there is no reason why women can't be as technically able as men (pace and endurance another thing). There was an American lass my school, when I was 16, could outplay most of the lads. Center of excellence(s) for women's football only established in '98, 24 years ago. With grass roots to elite being developed. It's not surprising that the quality is still playing catch up, but I reckon it will do.
Personally i'm glad that womens football is developing and in other codes as well. That being said to compare the scoring records of women vs men is ridiculous as the speed and physicality is so much different. Just take the average height of female keepers, so much more of the goal to aim for. In 2016 the Austrailian womens team was ranked 7th in the FIFA rankings. They lost 7 nil to a boys under 15 team in Australia (Newcastle Jets). In 2019 whilst ranked 8th they lost to Colorado rapids under 15's 4-1 I would say that the current standard would be somewhere close to u17's
