Agreed, I think it's good business for the club, he clearly wanted the move, so better let him go. Good luck to him, TWT whether it turns out to be the move he is hoping for.

All this KLP stuff keeps putting me in mind of Josh Tymon, I hope KLP fares better but I'm not sure...

I wonder did last nights performance prompt Acun/Tan to sell now before the Premier leagues unfashionable sides might start considering that his impact against better quality defenders may not be effective or immediate.

And we got some very good players in and some that can still improve with the right players around them.

My opinion is the best transfer so far is Tobias he will really help Greaves along to.

I think they already decided to sell long before that game last night but held out for a better deal.

They can now trade in the Beko washing machine for a Hotpoint :emoticon-0138-think.

Would hope they didn't make such a key decision on the back of one display.

I don't believe for 1 second Acun and Tan sat there for 45 minutes and then at halftime said , quick ring Brentford get the deal back on.

Surprised we never tried to sign him with a sell on Clause.

I agree, obviously a single display is not relevant on its own, but why bring him to Turkiye - was it to convince him to stay or was it to see how he would fare against better opposition? Were there already indications that his success at Premier level might not be effective and the monies being offered best taken now if the player is unhappy to stay. Within a few hours of playing against good defenders, he is gone. That is odd to me.

Or maybe even to say look we will play him till you confirm the deal.

It did seem odd, but maybe it was somehow to force Brentford's hand / to push them to for example tweak the deal further in our favour.
I did think their RB had him in his pocket, which is a possible sign of how he will cope inthe PL ..... but then again it was only a friendly and he wouldn't risk an injury if he thought he might be off.
    So ..... who knows!!

On the verge of a major transfer, the last thing KLP will have wanted is some full back breaking his leg in a friendly , may explain his mindset .

KLP and his agents wanted out since his agents and Ehab played hard ball on the contracts, in my opinion. A bit different to Bowen who let his football do the talking and took his move when it came. I think the Bowen thing has put 5-8 million in KLP to be honest.

I wish the lad all the best, but take the money and run.

    Hope he does well.

If he does then following Bowen particularly and also Robertson our reputation as somewhere helping young talent flourish grows which is no bad thing for sale prices as well as loan incomings

Exactly right. The players we’ve got coming through are developing quickly, whatever we’re doing clubs are taking notice.

I know all players say it, but Baxter by the sound of it didn’t want to come anywhere else but here.
