    10th July 6:30pm.

I’ve no idea of the team but I’d go with

    mcgregor

    Chester Dawson Davies

    Elmohamady. Robertson
    Livermore Huddlestone
    Koren
    Jelavic. Long

Patty is finding us all a stream so should be good…..

We'll get nothing out of this.

If we haven't sold KLP, Jake Greaves or Gerald Bowen by the final whistle it'll be a bonus.

The name Istanbul is derived from Greek, and means "to the City".

Istanbul is the only pan-continental city in the world situated on two continents, Europe and Asia.

Tulips, the icon of Holland, originated in Istanbul and were sent from Istanbul to the Netherlands. This means it had more flower beds than all the hotels in Portugal.

Istanbul was the capital city of three empires – Roman, Latin and Ottoman. But it is not the capital city of modern Turkey.

Under the Ottoman Empire, the city was renowned for having more than 1,400 public toilets.

Istanbul, which used to be known as Constantinople thanks to the Roman Emperor Constantine the Great, is built on seven hills to match the seven hills of Rome.

The Grand Bazaar is the biggest old covered bazaar in the world, with over 3.000 shops.

Istanbul is surrounded by sea, with the Bosphorus cutting right through it. And yet, snow is common in the city, with the annual average being 18 inches.

Istanbul has the same population – 13 million and rising – as Belgium.

    No hotel room comparative index.

    Shoddy.

Founded by the Greeks as a fishing village and originally called Byzantium. So good they named it thrice…

Given the origin of the name, my score prediction is 2-0 Istanbul. <ok>

I'd have loved to have seen what our less traveled forefathers made of that back in the Fifties.

'Fener Bahce? Now then, who the bloody hell are them lot?

I mean, they've spelt bloody Fenners wrong for a start.

Ba huh see? Batch? Bee ache? How the bloody hell am I meant to say that?

    Anyway - Three pence?

    Needler can **** right off.

    Greedy bastard'.

It’s good that we’re doing our bit by promoting football in the developing nations, especially in a defining year for the World Cup.
