Stranger Things fans have now discovered Master of Puppets. How obscure.
First Kate Bush, now Metallica. Next up they'll find out about niche artists like The Eagles or Beatles.

One of my nieces makes a regular visit to us and leaves with a bag of my CDs , currently working her way through MC5 , Talking Heads and Neil Young with a bit of early Elton John thrown in after she watched Rocket Man ( told her not to bother after goodbye yellow brick road )
    My work is never ending

Plenty of troll posts on Twitter suggesting people new to Metallica start with their best album...St Anger

Apparently nobody is quite cruel enough to suggest Load, then...

My first-ever present to my niece was a Ramones onesie plus their first three albums

...meaning she was about the only person wearing a Ramones shirt in 2015 who could hum Blitzkrieg Bop

GYBR is a masterpiece. A double album of wall-to-wall brilliant rock and pop songs recorded in only a few days. Even found time for 3 mins of prog with Funeral for a Friend! <laugh>

I went to the Wembley all dayer 1975, we watched the Eagles, Beach Boys , Joe Walsh ,Rufus and Chaka Khan and Stackridge, Elton John came on after the crowd had heard nothing but great tunes all day and proceeded to play Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy in more or less its entirely , not seen a stadium empty so fast ,me included he only did his hits later in the set but I wasn't there to hear them

Had a cracking time last night revisiting the 100 Club for the first time since 1983 to see His Lordship play a stunning set to a packed crowd. Every time I see them they just get better and better and if that wasn't enough had the absolute pleasure to meet and fist bump Clem Burke who was lurking in the crowd! I'm 57 now so I don't tend to get starry-eyed these days but when you meet someone you've admired since you were 13 and who I personally rate as one of the best drummers ever it all kind of goes out of the window!

Clem Burke's a great, great drummer...and The 100 Club is the best venue...anywhere...ever...and like The Shelf, plagued by pillars but still incredible.

Like Alfie, I hadn't encountered Hid Lordship but am suitably impressed. Thanks.

Mrs B and I are championing a new and emerging Norwegian band - Nix & The Nothings, who have just released this...

    ...which I like a lot.

Oooh, cutting. Personally I wouldn't bother after Captain Fantastic. (Which clearly would have been a more appropriate title for the film.)

I came across them when they played at last years Red Rooster Festival and was completely blown away by their raw energy. James Walbourne, the main man behind them is actually one half of The Rails with his wife Kami Thompson, Richard and Linda Thompson's daughter. This is apparently his new project so what that means for The Rails I've no idea but if you get the chance to catch His Lordship they're definitely worth seeing!

I'm a bit like that with artists ,most of them burn bright then splutter , Van Morrison, I adore his work up to Tupelo honey the cherry pick from then on although I've seen him in recent years some good gigs other a waste of money
    Genesis up to Duke
    Eagles up to long run
The list goes on ,even my all time favourites Steely Dan and Joni Mitchell
