There is a level of insanity to this.

Boris Johnson - not good enough for the Tories, but apparently good enough for the country.

    Here’s a thing.

Ministers who resign are entitled to 25% of their annual salary as ‘severance pay’. Also if they are sacked.

Why? As far as I know if anyone else in any other job resigns that’s it, their decision. You are sacked on basis of **** performance or disciplinary issues, you don’t get paid for being ****. If you are made redundant, fair enough, but resigning or being sacked? No, **** off.

Michelle Donelan, who was Education Secretary for two days, is supposedly getting over £16k, which she plans to ‘donate to a local charity’. **** off, donating taxpayers money that you haven’t earned.

May and Chamberlain at least as bad.
He's certainly been the most self centred.

He thinks they're going to let him stay on until a new leader is elected. Starmer says he'll call a confidence vote if he does.

Not a word of contrition in his resignation speech, absolutely no acknowledgment of the behaviour that brought him to this point. It's as if he actually thinks he's been hard done to. What a despicable man.

Who, Baker or Rees Mogg? Hate is too strong a word. I feel about them the same way I feel about any ideologues who 100% believe they have exclusive access to the truth. Never to be trusted, always to be mocked. Both Baker and Rees Mogg are religious fundamentalists as well as ideologues of the Austrian economic school ie let the weak die, it’s Gods will.

Did you not see the bit about the Labour Party? Plenty of similar twats on that side of the house.

As ever, the output (worst) will depend on one's own input criteria. May outscores Boris across a bunch like honesty and integrity for me, but appreciate others will care more about other criteria.

I don't see a whole host of Brexiteers lining up to defend him.

It's one thing for Brexiteers to tell him his time is over and a fresh start is needed, another to consider him one of the worst prime ministers in history.

He hated detail, was a very poor disciplinarian and was more economic with the truth than most politicians. But by calling a GE he wiped out the Soubrys, Umunnas and others that made a joke of democracy by trying to get a people's vote, alongside Starmer. He's got most of Brexit done, did well on the COVID vaccines and had Ukraine's back both politically and practically, when the Pygmy leaders in France and Germany wanted a deal with Russia for domestic purposes, despite that weak approach sending a dangerous message to China over Taiwan.

May lied her arse off over brexit.
She was also completely incompetent and weak.

She didn't lie as much as Boris, but then, no PM probably ever has.

Good riddance to him. He has dragged politics in this country to the lowest levels I have ever witnessed. A disgrace and embarrassment to this country....but I suppose he is a Yank
