I lost 5 stone for my daughters wedding, it was postponed twice because of lockdown, my diet followed suit & I put it all 5 back on in a year. Lost two since but now they’ve slowed my heart-rate to dead slow it’s taking longer to fall off. Plate of thirds. Protein/Carbs/Veg. Bought smaller plates. Snack with fruit. Stopped booze.
Unfortunately my daughter's wedding sneaked in days before lockdown- he's a complete tool and making her life a misery. But they won't be told.
I’m down to 13 st.for the first time in about 30 years, having lost 3 1/2 st. though I wouldn’t recommend organ failure as a form of diet.
I'm a skinnyish 6ft. I actually lost weight in lockdown because I used to be a chef and wasn't grazing anymore and I didn't replace it with anything and I wasn't big to start with. Most of my weight loss seems to have been from my leg muscles. I used to think I'm a runner, but I might be a jogger now
I cut out every bit of crap we eat, only on a weekend do we have a little treat. Rice instead of potatoes, virtually no bread, boiled and baked chicken breast with Veg and rice. Drink so much water I piss 10 times a day. 20 minutes exercise every morning as we get out of bed. Try to get in 10,000 steps a day. I swim twice a week, and walk everywhere. Teasco is a mile away so 2 miles round trip each week for the shop, we would drive it before but not now. I won’t lie it was sooo ****ing hard at first but there is something said that if you can stick to it for 21 days it becomes second nature, it’s over 4 months and I feel so good it’s mad, even my back is nowhere near as bad as it use to be. We sat and looked at how we ate and lived pre pacemaker and I won’t lie we were embarrassed at the amount of crap we ate and lack of exercise, add to that the silly journeys in the car it wasn’t rocket science. My mrs has gone from a size 16 to a 12 and I’d say in a cpl of weeks she’ll be a 10. I have a tee shirt I bought last year, it’s a Ali is the greatest, with a photo of him after a training exercise. Love this tee shirt but could never wear it as I was too fat. Fits me like a glove now…. The first day is the hardest, will power is the most important power…
I'm a lot taller than my siblings. My youngest daughter is nearly as tall as me and her eldest sister is about 5'5". You would not believe they are sisters!
I lost 3 stone just eating sensibly and cutting out carbs. I also did a lot of work on my turbo trainer (3,500 km up to the beginning of April) now with a knackered knee I’ve cut that back to practically zero. I did a bit with my knee injury, but I don’t think it was helping. So I’m going to restart again after surgery as rehabilitation. Bloody second time. I was aiming for 12,000 km this year - I’m now well off achieving that, plus a new bike in the garage that won’t see the light of day this year. That’s annoying.
See I play football twice a week and I'm working out at home. My problem is that I hate giving up things I like and my ADHD/OCD makes it difficult to change. I'm a stone lighter than I was, but that's just through eating much smaller portions. Only eating meat twice a week too seems to have helped.
I'm not saying I've always been fat ....but...at school my favourite musical instrument was the dinner bell
