We have had pretty good results recruiting from Ireland, Omobamidele and Idah both full Internationals and yet to flourish with Norwich. Could be a massive season for them both , Springett is another one coming through
This has been rumoured several times and I can see the logic of it as well. The question is would he be the CM we're looking for or in addition to another more established CM as has been talked about? We've lost 3 midfielders and only replaced one so far. His pros are that he's left-footer and thus could be another in McLean's role. He can also act as a deep playmaker, which would be important in Smith's preferred 4-3-3 and he's also said to have good defensive skills as well. Smith moved Lees-Melou into that role towards the end of last season. The cons are that he's only 5'8" tall, much like Gilmour and that he's never played in the PL. It could depend on how much we have in the budget unless Aarons or another leaves. Probably the most substantial rumour so far.
I can't see this one happening, Leeds and Crystal Palace both reportedly interested and with Huddersfield apparently wanting a fee around £10m which I can't see us stretching to. The PinkUn reporters are saying they reckon we have £2-4m to spend this summer unless someone leaves.
If I recall correctly, Fulham spent big but were relegated the same season. It would be encouraging to see a few more new faces over the line at CR, but I suppose it’s sales first.
This is why I'm not getting overly excited about the Brewers guy investing. Fulham spent £100m & still got relegated easily, the amount of money most clubs owners have is way beyond our reach . I prefer the yo-yo self funding model with steady progression.
https://www.pinkun.com/sport/norwic...rtin-transfer-window-update-doncaster-9120522 Josh Martin not in first team plans, several clubs interested and Norwich want a transfer fee for him.
A Brazilian Creator has been linked to City, who face competition from West Brom, Gabriel Sara, an attacking midfielder from Sao Paulo. https://www.pinkun.com/sport/norwic...gabriel-sara-midfielder-transfer-link-9125954 Hope he can be as good as the last South American Midfielder, who played for us, if we sign him.
You know how ANY youtube video can make a player look great? His is thoroughly underwhelming. Full of missed shots and poor decisions lol. If I recall rightly, Emi's video was similarly underwhelming
Michael Bailey reporting that we are looking at getting the Brazilian lad on loan, presumably with a view to buying him if we go up. As I said before, I hope he is better than his YouTube video makes him look. Sao Paolo fans seem to like him. According to most, he saved them from relegation almost single handedly. Looks like a left footer who likes to come off the right and shoot from... anywhere lol
That would seem to be a good move, agreeing an eventual fee and paying a significant chunk of that as a loan fee. Having watched the compilation video, he does look like a good replacement for Buendia with similar skills, the ability to both assist and score goals. At 23 now, he'd be 24 if we're promoted with a years experience in the Championship.
