Once again, the lefties, this time in the form of the teaching unions, push measures that ultimately cause more harm then good, ignore solid advice to the contrary, and then blame every ****er but themselves when it goes tits up as a consequence.
I do hope people keep a very close eye on any inquiries into covid, as the processes that made a lash up of the 'data', and arguably simply changed one problem for another, are pretty much the same people and mindsets that will be deciding how carbon zero is 'achieved'.
Carbon zero is a totally pointless ideology, the climate is changing in the same way/pattern as it has for millions of years and there is **** all we can do about it other than learn to live with it as our ancestors did.
The (very expensive) measures they're proposing are unlikely to resolve it, and more liable to replace one problem with another. Nearly all the assessments ignore the very real benefits fossil fuels have brought society when they carry out cost benefit analysis.

Whys that then professor? Whether zero is achievable only time will tell, but having a goal to reduce carbon emissions has got to the right approach. The rest of your post is completely laughable. Our ancestors have spent thousands of years trying to either harness the energy or protect themselves from it. We are doing exactly the same, trying to find a way that both protects us and continues to move us forward as a race.
