It helps that it’s a wide track as well to be able to do these moves

Sainz deserves to be a winner on the basis of his career so far.

Wasn't at all impressed by him today though. He had no real pace and got lucky, frankly.

Hope it gives him the confidence to see some of the old Sainz back.

    He wasn’t.

It’s yet another race they lost for him.

    F1 should think hard here.

They've come off an absolute bag of ****e set of tracks that liberty have forced on us.

    Miami
    Monaco
    Azerbaijan
    Canada

Cannot pass, just can't. Just drs ****, narrow **** holes

Turn up here on a proper race track that's got plenty of room to race and always has action and we get an absolute stormer once the clown ocon parked in the middle of yhe track.

Hamilton had the tyres to win this if not for that

And of course a proper smash up drama as well.

    LEARN THE LESSON

    Perez.

    Nearly killed a guy.

Nearly crashed against, ruined his wing.

Drives through a chicane, no pen.

Forces a driver off the track.

    2nd.

    Teflon Don today.

Sainz took advantage of tyres at the end there.

Drove off track at one point early on.

Couldn't keep a car with a busted wing behind him

Was told to get out of it then to fuel save to keep him back.

Ends up on softs v hards and tells team to do one with stupid instructions to protect le clerc.

Can't call that a deserved win but he manned up and grabbed it well.

Hamilton was fastest for a while but the ending there showed the car just doesn't quite have the straight line speed still. Couldn't quite get ahead

Superb stint to catch ferraris constantly and run ahead but the pit stop **** from merc pit crew cost him big time.

    Deserved 3rd.

Mick Schumacher 8th. Finally gets points. That's be his highlight of career unless something bizarre happens (we have seen this at times in the past)

Hamilton is my driver of the day.

I actually think that was one of Leclerc’s best ever drives. He was going to win that with a broken car, and would have done, and got back in the championship if Ferrari had a single brain between them.

He could have had he been able to get in without losing positions.

He was faster than sainz and pulled up behind him ok til sainz came in and without the tow he wasn't as quick as Hamilton

They were swapped and he pumped in some good times on the hards.

He was in position there with good enough tyres to hold off Hamilton whereas sainz should have been passed by Hamilton.

    The thing is.

With the faster tyres sainz had to be begging for racing while le clerc was let by. Ferrari were compounding errors tbh

At least sainz put ferrari in their place and got the job done when it had to be done.

He was six seconds in the lead. They could and should have pitted him. If that had meant Merc left Hamilton out for track position, they’d have eaten him up at the restart, like they did to Leclerc.

To be the quickest Ferrari out there with a broken wing was a brilliant drive.

Leclaerc was very brave but fair on his passes too, his pass on the outside of Lewis was great stuff. To do that on the wrong tires and a broken car is impressive.

    Sky absolutely definitive.

Leclerc could have pitted. Had about 5 seconds to come in as he slowed and was possible to get in.

Exactly. Ferrari are making a complete pig’s ear of his championship.

Going with a conservative estimate of 3rd in Canada without the grid penalty. I make it 82 points thrown away in 5 races. The championship swing would be worse than that taking into account the points Verstappen would have lost.

I genuinely don't think I've ever seen a team do worse.
