There is a part of me who doesnt mind who wins as long as Verstappen ends up stranded in the gravel after a stupid overtaking attempt
Mercedes looks rock steady through Stowe - no obvious difficulties to the naked eye and the times seem to be backing it up. You guys will have a better angle on the TV feed- does it look pretty planter and stable? They’ll have to go some to beat Max but they might have enough here to make this close.
Hope you've some.sandwiches and f1 have delayed quali how many times now for rain. The bustards. Right now red bull have sailed into a decent lead and the merc and ferrari as a half second back. There should be some improvement to come so it could be an interesting race as you.can actually pass on this track.
If you exclude Max then it's very close timing wise at moment! From 2nd to 5th is only a little over a tenth of a second! I wonder if anyone has a higher power mode for quali or is carrying some extra fuel? If it rains thought that might be interesting as not many teams actually set a lap in fp1 in the rain!
Hmm. Merc vs Ferrari might be fun, but Max is driving off into the distance, it seems… Unless Fezzer have given them a semi-wet setup. But I doubt it.
Going to predict trams sat under umbrellas looking put at rain and saying its too dangerous as they "didn't get any wet running so far" Ffs. They need to draw the line now and say no delays and out you go if it does rain. Most sat looming at rain in p1 so it's their own fault.
FP1 was because they only have very limited sets of inters, and are expecting to have to use them tomorrow. Hence not wanting to burn up a couple of sets on a Friday.
Hmmmm Latifi does better than albon. Pointless upgrades Rather less chaose than expected and nobody beached it. There's a clear line there now so I expect it to be a little bit of hope form big teams that others clean it up more and it's a question of if anyone goes slicks but end of q3. It should be possible
I wonder if the upgrades weren't setup for wet quali - hopefully they setup for a dry race if it is a dry race! It could just be one of those big changes that they have to 'play' with to understand the ideal setup and they haven't had much time to play with fp1 wet so they only had 2 hrs. OK so it may be wishful thinking from me
