Just wondering what people (realistically) think we’ll be starting with come August.

    as I’m going realism only..

    ——Gillespie——-

    Manquillo—-Fede—-Lascelles—-Ritchie

    Murphy-M.Longstaff--Shelvey—Anderson

    ——Gayle——Wood———

    I can dream.

Seriously tho, thoughts on the starting 11?

Interesting some people think dubz will start. You don't sign someone like pope for 10m to be second choice.

Dubz is a great 2nd choice though.

Would be harsh taking the jersey off him, but I have no idea who'll start

I think Dubs is the better keeper anyway

    Out of current signed players:

    My team would be: (1-4-3-3)
Dubravka, Trippier, Schar, Botman, Targett, Willock, Bruno, Joelinton, Almiron, ASM, Wilson

    Think Eddie will go: (1-4-1-2-3)
Pope, Trippier, Botman, Burn, Targett, Shelvey, Burno, Joelinton, Fraser, ASM, Wilson

    Potential with current links
    Dream Line up: (1-4-2-3-1)
Dubravka, Trippier, Schar, Botman, Targett, Bruno, Joelinton, Diaby, Paqueta, ASM, Belotti

Agreed but it is so close between them - Pope better shot stopper on paper, probably because he faced more shots at Burnley, but Dubravka is better all round keeper for me.

The fact that we're still contemplating starting Shelvey is funny and sad.

As much as I'd not have him in the team, vs a team like Forrest he can dictate play and allow Bruno and Joe a little more freedom.
Can't see him starting many games this year though and being used mainly as an impact sub.
I've always though its strange you'd imagine he would be able to release ASM from deep with balls over the top but can't remember many instances of this?

    Shelvey..Shelvey..Shelvey..Shelvey
