Originally it was a mixture of my mate being a few rows below and it being the opposite end to the Away fans as my kids were totally new to football and I wanted to break them in gently! There was plenty of room around us so I was able to add a 4th pass for my missus and will get a 5th for my father in law next week when it quietens down.
Im gonna monitor it and if the East is full and absolutely rocking with people stood up right through then I will look at moving to the West. As I said earlier I respect the right for people to be on their feet and picked seats at the far end of the East to try and avoid them but if we have to move for the kids to have a better experience I'm cool with that.

We dont want to be behind a goal so West will be the move for us if need be. I go to away games on my own as I like the better atmosphere 'in the thick of it' but whilst the kids are young we just want to sit as a family and enoy the game.

I have thought way too much about what might happen at home for these three. Let me make it clear, these are the types who wear tracksuit bottoms and dress shoes. Her hair looks like it was last brushed when Jason Price was in the team. It aint going to be a pretty to watch but during half time my mind starts to wander....

The East has never been full of people rocking with people stood up and won’t be this season. Unfortunately.

I don't think we have the worst fans in the league or anything but I don't see how moving fans around
will automatically improve the atmosphere which I assume was the aim of it all

I'd love to see safe standing in N3 and N4 though , that would be good

Safe standing would be a nice step and I'm sure would improve the atmosphere

For their reputation as a tourist club, Utd home games have huge numbers who stand. And as loathe as I am to give them credit, Leeds do as well.

I would like to see safe standing in the whole of the north stand occupied wholly by City fans. But that will not happen.Other clubs manage with one aisle way as segregation but the poor design of the stadium prevented that from day one.

Which is why I took my chance when putting the family in E10, unlikely to get more than an odd occasion.

How does that compare to last season? How many people normally just buy match by match?

Just trying to get an idea of how close we are to the 17-18k Tan talked about.

Still a way off I think. I think with some decent signings we could hit 13/14k members

The deed is done! Not sure if I'll get to that many games but just good to feel part of the club again

A bit of a weird one but in the £35 per month seats, there isn't 1 block that isn't sold out or has limited availability. It just shows that despite the small increase for those in that section they clearly don't care and are happy to pay.

Do the cards just get posted out then? Couldn't see an option for delivery when buying and the email confirmation doesn't mention anything either.

People around me in E7 have been sitting there for years and stuck with the club through the crappy Allam times of the last few seasons so I had no doubt that they would accept the rise in price now that the club is moving forwards - as I have. I only temporarily moved to the North stand (which I hated) for a couple of seasons when concessions were taken away as I couldn’t justify paying the east stand prices for my son. I then moved back to my old seat with my son and brother when concessions came back and all the old faces were still there.

    I don't class a 16.6 per cent increase as small. :emoticon-0100-smile
