Here's some info. Let's hope the clear route to the first team keeps the nippers at Saints. https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/2...wcastle-reportedly-track-southampton-starlet/ https://www.newcastleworld.com/spor...ked-with-mystery-newcastle-united-bid-3750677
I wonder if academy players are seeing us buy young players from other club academies and wondering if the pathway is less clear than it has been in the past? Not talking these two specifically but more generally. Could be part of the reason why we lost that keeper to Chelsea?
Doyle has posted a pic of himself in the new Saints shirt on his Instagram. Not sure why he would do that if he was ****ing off.
i hope the kids have good representation. the money is small potatoes. If they stick here and take the chances they will undoubtedly get the Saudis will be back in and having to offer proper money. what they get playing for the NUFC academy will pale into insignificance.
Kamari Doyle is training with the first team according to the Daily Echo https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/2...absent-players-southampton-return-pre-season/
Dont forget the parents will no doubt do well out of this deal too, I remember the rumours when Theo went to Arsenal, the club looked after his parents well
Apparently they want €10m which I can’t see us spending given we do have two right backs - unless we really do think Tino will pick up where he left off and definitely be signed for big money next summer I expect we have bid €5m or so which is close to his transfermarkt value and it has been knocked back
Also a distinct possibility that we're expecting to use KWP at left back more consistently. Which wouldn't shock me; all the cool kids with their high pressing and 7-guys-around-the-box attacking styles are using inverted wingbacks, so why not us? KWP has a solid shot on him, and he managed to work quite a few good chances cutting in from the left. Plus, it's just straight-up easier to find right-footed players.
