Mahogany ! <yoikes> I'd watch this again but my fooking laptop doesn't have a dvd player in it. It isn't free to watch on Netflix or Amazon or anything either. I'd also start The Wire, but that is £20 a season on Amazon, **** that.
Love that film. Dont love many Clooney films, but that and The Decendents are two very good films he has made
I like a lot of his films, Oh brother, Dusk till Dawn, The Midnight Sky, The American, Intolerable Cruelty. The 2 you mention are very good though. Good director as well.
From Dusk till Dawn is a strange one. I went into it knowing it was a vampire film, and I quite like Vampire films, like Lost Boys and Interview with a vampire etc. Then it started off and it was some sort of psychological thriller with two criminals, one psychotic, who kidnap a family and it was looking like it was gonna be a tense thriller with Clooney having to protect this family from his psyhco rapist brother and I was getting into it, then all of a sudden an hour in, all these vampires show up and I was like "Oh yeah, I forgot this was a vampire film" and I was kinda into the first half of the movie and the way that was headed then it takes a massive left turn and I was kinda like "Huh, I think id have preferred this movie without the vampires" EDIT: The opening to that movie is still one of the best movie openings ever, with the shootout at the gas station.
Clooney is an excellent actor/director. He's not just Eye candy and has made some terrific films. Gravity, Three Kings, Micheal Clayton and Good night and good luck are all fantastic films.
Remember Bod complaining that Buzz Lightyear didn't get any Oscar nominations for Best Supporting Actor in Toy Story ... Barry Norman, he ain't
Daughter home from Uni and has persuaded us to watch Stranger Things on Netflix ... pretty good so far tbf although early days ...
I've seen the first 7 episodes, very good. Going to watch the last 2 tomorrow. I think this season has been the best tbh.
