Disappointed about Seri, albeit it was a very ambitious move! Hopefully a few more irons in the fire.
To be fair Slater has done well, and Alfie Jones can play there, so it's not all doom and gloom we missed out on Seri, a shame, but I'm sure they will have other alternatives up their sleeve.
I'm not surprised on this one, it's the one that felt like it was dragging a bit. When listening to Tan, he did seem a bit hesistant. I'm sure he's probably got more cash in Italy and he's 31 in a few weeks so it'll be his last big contract. I must say thought, I would've liked a bit of height in that midfield
Hmmn. Sounds like the anti-thesis of what I believe is a sound investing approach! Going on that, maybe the post and replies would fit better in the 'City Board Betting Thread' thread?!? I do agree with your later comment though about there being 'flaws with professional advice' - and their cost. If your approach has worked for you and you've beaten market returns over the long term (the sort of period you mention) then great, you are one of the very few.
I think Muriqi is probably ahead and it definitely help that Acun knows him personally. It's whether we can get an agreement with Lazio.
I don’t know anyone who presumed the Seri transfer was done TBH. I don’t want someone joining who’s that whipped by his mrs anyway…
MO has on a few occasions spoken about it as done. And plenty have spoken about the midfield trio of Tufan-Traore-Seri as a fait accompli.
Maybe, but it wasn't reported as done In other news, Traore has suffered an injury setback in training
I always thought it was unlikely that we'd get Seri, so this is no surprise. Be interesting to see who our plan B is.
I had thought it unlikely until Acun began speaking about it as all but done. As others said, it's rare for an owner/manager to speak that publicly without it being an all but certainty.
