Didn't know we had a Hull lad playing at Wimbledon, Paul Jubb. Never heard of him. Currently in a 4th set tiebreak against Nick Kyrgios. Now into a 5th set. Kyrgios is whining like a right fanny.
If Jubb can keep his head and get a few 1st serves in he can win this, Kyrgios is close to losing his rag.
Oh well, he gave it a good shot. Sort out the first serves and the unforced errors and he'll be back better next year.
Just read the story on Paul Jubb, his gran brought him up on a council estate in Hull after his mum died and his dad killed himself, the kids done really well, then I read he’s a plastic Liverpool fan, ffs https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...aised-grandmother-age-four-death-parents.html
I remember Kyle Edmond stating his love for Liverpool as well. Guess some people hang on to the “ big” teams like a designer label.
Murray also out, he lost in four sets as he was blown away by big-serving American John Isner on Centre Court. Isner won their clash 6-4 7-6 6-7 6-4, helped by 36 aces.
My favourite player of the tournament so far, Elena Rybakina from Kazakhstan. Why? She's dead cool on the court, she's good, just made the final, but most of all she plays in complete silence, not a grunt or a shriek anywhere. Bliss.
