Just listened, refreshing honesty... I think his point about the fans coming back is a valid one, they are doing their part it's now up to all those stays away that said they'd return to return. 18/19k is a very realistic figure from the club and with the things they are trying to do singings wise and what they have done with the price it should be hit.

17-18k is realistic but its also chicken and egg. There's been a lot of belief lost over the last few years so people may well wait and see based on results and performances.

You'll always get the fair weather fans, but for me the reasons we heard time and time again from the stay away are now long gone. It's time to actually get into the ground and back what Acun / tan etc are trying to do

18k is where we've been in the past when we've been challenging at the top end. Some will have stayed away due to the previous regime, some will just be fair weather.

I started going when I was 11 and I couldnt imagine doing anything else on a saturday
10 years later I left Hull but in that time I always preferred to see City most Saturdays
when you get older it's easier to find other things to do and not bother returning whatever happens
we are better off getting children to go to matches
there's less chance of getting people in their 30s and over returning

I thought tan came across very well and as ht2 said I hope the crowds come back.
We are spending money and bringing players in which is a refreshing change, I know nothing about most of them. Hopefully this striker will be a name fans know. It think this would help get a few back

I'm sure there's some bargains to be had in Europe if you have a good scouting set up but I dont know how long that will take to get up to speed. I've not heard of hardly any of the players either.

I think tan probably has most of the connections around Europe

Yes. Same in the here and now too. The majority of people aren't like us spending x hours a day keeping up to speed on what's happening behind the scenes. There's been a lack of proper announcements, which is surprising, strange and isn't helping with the aim of winning fans back. We only hear today sort of by chance (by the good questioning of TK) that new players are already here training for example. I'm sure official announcements, probably with the new kit and sponsors, will soon be made, but it's not too surprising to hear that memberships aren't taking off yet when all that many have seen is players released and moving on with no exciting better replacements publicly announced. As mentioned earlier I've heard several saying "heard it all before" sort of thing. We on here might be aware and confident about what's coming but many aren't.

Aren’t they ? They don’t go on general sale until Wednesday, tan said all existing members had renewed.
    Unless I’ve missed something

Point 1: Deals are agreed, terms are agreed but the admin (visas, work permits, contract expiry, international clearances etc) is preventing official announcements. They are telling us what they can, and more than many regime's would.

Point 2: New memberships aren't being launched until the 29th, so no wonder they havent taken off yet. Thay have said that almost all renewals have been taken up.

If you haven't listened to the humberside interview with Tan yet, then I suggest you should. If you have already then I suggest you should again.

They seem to have a lot more reach than any previous owner when it comes to attracting sponsorships. They reckon the Corendon deal alone could represent one of the biggest sponsorship deals in the chapionship, and there's 2 more in the wings.

Acun is very marketing savvy and will come across well to get sponsors and with ideas how to be good for sponsors

Apologies if I misheard / misunderstood the new memberships bit.
Other points imo remain valid. They could and should have kept up a steady trickle of positive updates. There has been and clearly now is stuff that could be said. There's been next to nothing coming out of the club to the public for a while now.

What do you think they've been updating Baz and doing long format interviews with the radio for?

Until clearances come through, what more can they do?

    It's not like no-one's talking.
