The Swiss said: “It is a fresh start. It has been many years now where the club had no real long-term vision and also cost-cutting at its forefront, which basically led to an asset-stripping in almost all departments, which required rebuilding from the start. “It will be a long-term plan – hopefully we can take it forward together and bring better times to the club.”
They came in when we were at our lowest point (so we thought) and brought some positivity, then it went tits up and we sank even lower with the pair of them making **** up after **** up. For CM to be some high profile PR guru he did a pretty **** job with some of the actions and comments the club came out with. But they are gone, we look forward to a brighter future, but I won't forget they are in part responsible for the lowest ebb I and the club have been at. No amount of "they saved the club" will change my view on them. They saw an opportunity to make big money quickly and ****ed it up, then instead of admitting their mistakes blamed everyone but themselves. Pair of ****ing ****ers
They did not save the club. There were others sniffing around. Someone else would have bought it. Methlab loves to control the narrative and make himself a hero. They tried to **** us off for a profit before the end of season one despite saying they were custodians of a great club. Total bluff. They did a ****e job of everything but savage cuts which isn’t hard to do. Anything that required ability they did badly. They stabilised us as also rans in a league that was unsustainable for a club our size. Good riddance to part one. He deserved no profit. Sadly he got it. He deserves no respect and if I ever see him he won’t enjoy the experience.
It's hopefully to drag all the Methven and Donald shyte off the 'future' thread. You're right Methven is in the past and I'd rather forget he ever e, isted.
He stopped the funding, which isn't the same. I said at the time he had every right to look at the state of the club he'd poured a quarter of a billion quid into and think 'these ****ers are going to bankrupt me' His last straw was losing Allardyce to England, I think. At that point it looked like it could be turned around.
Biggest mistake Short made was not replacing the football people on the board such as Peter Walker and Niall Quinn. Handing the reins to that ******* ***** M.Byrne was a terrible, terrible mistake
