Yes I can: this company is wanting to take the online e-commerce in KSA to the same levels and beyond as Amazon. PIF have a share in the venture and they are investing 2billion in it over 3 years. This is a business partner of PIF not PIF itself albeit PIF have a share in the business. Meaning the PL cannot challenge the commerciality of the deal.
New sleeve sponsor replacing Kayak's £1m a year deal. @ Noon - Middle Eastern version of Amazon with over £3bn in investment is new company and according to Keiran Maguire have paid £7.5m
I don’t believe it’s 7.5m but even if it is. It’s a significant 7x multiple on what we had. Imagine that on our 6m a year Fun88 deal.
https://www.noon.com/uae-en/outlet-store-21-ae/ thought I would have a look to see what was in the clearance sale surprised there was no Lascelles or Shelvey
I'll throw a hunch out there. They should have been the main sponsor, couldn't bin Fun88 this year and as a result have ****ed "Visit Botswana" off to become the new sleeve sponsor this year before becoming the main one next year ........ but that's just a brain fart. Something fishy has happened regarding shirts being announced without main sponsor and sold without sleeve sponsor IMHO.
Agreed. It tied in with what I was saying about Ashley’s ****ty deal though. We could end up with Aramco being our main sponsor at 40m a year. 25m training ground sponsor. 15m stadium sponsor. 7.5m sleeve sponsor. And 100m in advertisement sponsorship around the ground. And there isn’t a thing the PL can do about it.
6x 7m = £42m a year. PIF are not in this to put £1 quid in mate. They want us to be on a par if not bigger than Man City and commercially and if they do it right they can. The new rules around FFP or whatever they are now calling it actually help us. All we have to do is prove commerciality with comparable football clubs and we are in the PL with the largest world wide market. Honestly the deals will keep coming.
We won't and they can and already have. We have to have market comparisons. Emirates pay Arsenal £40m a year for stadium naming rights and shirt naming rights. Yes its now 5 years old but even Etihad don't pay anywhere near your figures mate. As for £100m for advertising around the stadium your smoking some **** that is wayyyyy to strong for you.
That doesn’t matter right now. As @Darren Peacock's Ponytail pointed out and you indeed did aswell. Ashley’s only legacy is he left us with spending power within FFP we we know it. We can spend upwards of 200m this season if we wanted. And let’s be honest that’s peanuts for PIF.
