Can someone tell me why Morrison would be a good signing? I have heard all the talk about his talent and ability, but in all honesty have seen nothing at all to think he can do it on matchdays regularly. When has he performed at a level that would mark him out as a signing that would merit a place in a midfield for us?

I watched him for Derby a few times last season and he wasnt great, in the main. The fans I know didnt rate him much. I dont think he played many full 90 minutes either last season, I would bet less than 20. The most positive any of the lads round here have said about him is he was decent 1 in 5. I cant remember him showing anything like his reputation anywhere else either. Just an opinion, but as a player I wouldnt be signing him. We can do better I hope, indeed we already have much better at the club already.

09 is a dependable player who I hope leaves his farcical diving and embellishment, and the general league 1 ****housery, back in league 1.

I’m hoping we sign a new central midfielder who’s good on the ball. O’Nien would be a good squad option who can cover a number of positions, if required.

We're going to need more of that, not less, I'm afraid.

Morrison fits the bill i do believe. comfortable on the ball knows whats happening around him and can pick a pass long and short.

This. O’nein can do a job for us and is a great utility player but we need a centre midfielder who can dictate games alongside Evans not another scrapper.

Yeah totally agree, been saying that for a while now when onien gets criticism. He does all the unspectacular work along with Evans which allows the likes of Roberts,Clarke, Pritchard and the fullbacks to get forward all the time

I agree he is decent on the ball but positionally he is really poor in a CM role and he goes missing too often during matches. I watched him loads last season and he had more games where the game bypassed him by than him actually controlling the game.

Ballard on the other hand would be an unreal signing if it comes off, huge fan of his and believe he could be a PL player in the future (hopefully with us)

That really surprises me, massively. I must have watched 7 or 8 games for Derby last year and he didnt stand out at all, certainly nowhere near a top championship player imo. For a centre mid he seemed to have little of the ball to me, but like I say all about opinions.

Too be honest I haven't seen him play in years, but if Alex Neil, Speakman and Harvey all want him at the club then I trust them.

As big as any new signing coming in. He’s vital to how we play

I've seen the Morrison link rubbished so it will be interesting to see it play out. Personally, he's not for me but I'd trust Neill's judgement

I doubt that like cos I think Everton will want to give Broadhead a look in in pre season first, but I think (hope) we will start to see movement on new faces this week, with the season starting when it is

If I am honest, all I have read about Morriston, he sounds like a poor man's Dele Ali. Lots of talent especially when younger, but suspect temperament and not consistent. Pritchard and Dan, plus Roberts (and Clarke?) We do not need him.

Other positions eg striker are more urgent, even if Broadhead signs, he is injury prone so we need a new one urgently.

CB also... are we okay at LB now I have lost track
