The Bale we got in 2020 was still more productive than the likes of Lucas and Stevie B.

That Real Madrid team that just won the CL and La Liga?

Of course he’s not the same player he was at his peak but imo he still would have been very useful for Spurs next season.

To be fair most of our team wouldn’t get a game for Madrid either. We’re also the club that’s employed Harry Winks for 6 seasons.

I think Bale could’ve played a big part in the squad, still has the talent and ability even if it not the legs for 90 mins any more.

Those ever-reliable Turkish sources claim that we've accepted a loan-to-buy offer from Galatasaray for Nom Belly

Matt Law claims that Lucas could be a makeweight in any Richarlison deal which, if true, would mean that Winksy would be topping up the War Chest™ if Everton go in for him

It does, however, also create an opening for an AM as, with Lucas and Bergwijn gone, Gil is our only depth option

The thing is at the moment with Gil clearly not fancied by Conte we have 5 attacking options - Kulu, Kane, Son, Lucas and Bergwijn. We already need to sign a forward to give us the 2 players per position that Conte wants.

Bergwijn is a gonner and if Lucas departs too we need to buy 3 forwards.
If we only bring in 2 and one of our main forwards gets injured we are down to one attacker on the bench like last season.

Considering that we need a LCB, ( possibly another CB if Rodon leaves as expected) and a RWB that would possibly mean another 6 to come in.
At this stage that is a hell of a lot of work to do.

Does he know that Levy will deduct the cost of his shirt from his salary if he gives it away. Always pissed off Kyle Walker that.

I'm surprised that Walker even noticed.

    Burnley have signed Scott Twine

Potentially a very good bit of business for them - and also a potentially smart loan for Troy Parrott this coming season

Something struck me earlier today: can anybody remember a single time where we've announced a transfer over a weekend?

Surely we've done so at some point, but for the life of me I can't remember a transfer we didn't announce on a weekday
