The reason why people are so negative towards ITK's is because whichever way you look at it, they have a poor track record. Hardly anything as originally described has come to be, whether that be takeovers, players , whatever. And that's because a) some are not ITK at all, so are just plain wrong b) those that are ITK are likely only getting 5% of the actual information. Hypothetical example e.g. Sunderland are talking to Gareth Bale, it gets everyone excited, meanwhile every club in top two divisions is talking to Gareth Bale c) there's a lag in the information so some things are finished before the rumour of starting has even got going d) Things just change e) false information is fed for whatever reason. And there's probably more. So overall, for the casual forum reader, there's actually a pretty low success rate for ITK of whatever description, hence the negativity.
Very wise advice from someone clearly ITK on the subject. Apart from the FPP/Furhrman deal, where I literally fell into first hand info by accident, I'd class most of the things I've been told as total gossip. I'm not trained in any sector but I've worked for a fair few billionaires. One was in the habit of buying London hotels/houses/apartments whereupon he'd instruct his personal solicitors to contact local solicitors without ever revealing his identity. He had a spurious company in Portugal which was the supposed buyer and totally untraceable back to his country. He bought a flat in Wandsworth, in an old Victorian hospital, that belonged to Duran Duran one of whom he knew very well. The band member later came to dinner and the subject of the flat came up. My boss didn't say he'd bought it and the fella was saying he thought it was sold to a famous racing driver
They're unpaid volunteers on little chat forums man If you want a better class of ITK gossip try the national press, fanzines and local media ... ... it's no more accurate but has better photos and fewer speling mistakes. People who take either seriously need to give their head a shake tbh.
yup, all completely true and accurate. most of us also realise that all the above can and will happen and accept nothing as 'gospel' which means we do not get annoyed when things change nor do we feel the need to vilify a lad just for posting what he heard...it is also why we cannot understand the negativity, i mean, surely people do not literally take every posted word as 100% truth and guaranteed to happen 'cos that really would be a bit stupid and show a lack of understanding, possibly a complete seperation from reality.
Always amazes me how far behind the curve the club is when it comes to selling off old kit and announcing new stuff.
It's crazy. The away strip is on sale for 25% off so it's 37.50, the home strip isn't available online (not the proper Nike one anyway).
No-one is going to be paying £37.50 for last season's kit. Surely they could just sell everything for a tenner - give a bit back to the fans for a change - and clear the shelves ahead of the new kit being launched Having said that, it would be nice if the Govt, or the ELF introduced a rule that stopped clubs changing kit every year. £100+ for the bairn's full kit these days. Proper piss take
Prices are ridiculous. I mentioned earlier, the bairn is hitting adult sizes now. No way am I paying close to 200 sheets for 2 full kits. Chinese replicas incoming
Perhaps they think last seasons shirt has nostalgic value because of Wembley and people struggled to get it. Dunno tbh.
Don't think the EFL should be involved....the club should know the bairns love getting the kit,and it should be affordable for people to get it for them. It's investing in the future.
i had a pair of Timpson Continental moulded stud footy boots as a kid back in the early 60's the studs had worn down so me dad hacksawed them off and i had to use them as school shoes for 2 terms, in effect he invented trainers
