Great news. Onwards and upwards. Hopefully this finally puts to bed the never-ending discussions about ownership

 

I’d say this is better news. There’s a risk in a new regime. This has little risk and for many a year we’ve needed continuity on and off the field.

 

There was concern that if KLD allowed D&M's shares go out of the club the buyer would go after Sartori’s.

That could create an auction that, if KLD lost, would mean he'd lost the club.

Grumpy said that wouldn't happen because Sartori is too loyal to the LD family ...

... he was spot on as usual.

I have no inside knowledge, but am wondering if a new investor is in efl process for the other 19% which may take a few more weeks yet. Makes sense in my small brain at least.

 

I guess it ends the other investment talk then this statement

 

But weren't you told KLD has no money by world renowned experts in knowing f**k all

I'm a big fan of Dreyfus and he's got more than enough money to run a club successfully so I'm happy about this. Always liked Sartori but I've wondered which side of the fence he's truly on, seems we know now.

Don't really give a **** if Donald is still around or not as long as he's not holding us back and if that was the case it's not now.

Following the Club Statement issued by Sunderland AFC at 08:00 on Wednesday 22nd June 2022, Chairman Kyril Louis-Dreyfus released the following comment.

Kyril Louis-Dreyfus: “Today marks an important step as we continue to rebuild Sunderland AFC. Following the 2021-22 season, it was the intention of Juan and I to ensure that the ongoing speculation relating to the Club’s shareholding was addressed as soon as possible. Our ownership group has been consolidated and there will be no further sale of shares to a third-party buyer. We remain committed to our plan of delivering long-term success and sustainability and together, alongside our dedicated staff and loyal supporters, I believe that we can now move forward as one unified football club

It’s the best possible outcome ,continuity and no major disruption .. the statement says no further 3rd party share changes so with time then someone from the group will tidy up the rest .. no more boardroom distraction .. looking forward to the next few weeks now ..

 

Amazing news! Brings so much more stability to the club and shows massive intent on KLD & JS part.
Now let's start seeing some exciting signings and I'll crack open something cheap and intoxicating.

 

Now. Sign some players, announce some contracts, release a kit and get us all bouncing again.......

 

I might be wrong but I am guessing Donald and Methven have caved into Kyril’s offer and Kyril has won like we thought would happen. The chancers arses fell out cause they couldn’t afford to fund their share of the club.

 

Two Billionaires with full control of our club, that’ll do for me.

 

This news and we have sold a shed load of season cards, we have a good manager a decent squad and no doubt will bring better quality in....... What a difference KLD has made to our club that was once in freefall

 

So will JS still sell in December ?
