I'm fine with Phillips leaving if he goes purely for ambition. That would be City, Liverpool, PSG type clubs. If he decides to go to scum, villa, Newcastle, West Ham then he may as well have stayed here and helped us. It makes sense to go to City, he's a direct replacement for Fernandinho.

Raphinha is a typical South American mercenary. Its just what they do. Try and get a foothold in Europe, move to a CL club and earn as much as they can. I understand it. Don't necessarily respect it or like it but I'd probably do the same.

Borrusia Dortmund are using the Haaland money as a good club should. Schlotterbeck, Sule, Adeyemi, Braaf, Ozcan and now Haller - huge window for BVB. Lets hope Radz uses the cash benefits of Raph and Kalvin wisely

New name as a replacement for Rapha but even if Rapha stays this could be the striker we need. Cody Gakpo?

Gakpo was in seriously impressive form for PSV in the 2021/22 season, scoring 21 goals and supplying 15 assists in 46 appearances across all competitions for the Dutch club.

Roca already endearing himself to the club.

Apparently Leeds give you 2 bottles of champagne on signing. One for the player and one for his partner. Upon being presented these bottles he promptly gave them to two staff members at ER who had done all the paperwork on the move.

Then he was told he could turn up late for pre season with the international players to give him time for a holiday. He turned it down and said he wanted to be in from day one to get himself in the best possible shape for the Premier league.

Sounds like a top man. If he fails it won't be the lack of trying. That's all you can ask really as a fan.

I know nowt about him so looked on transfermarkt. Can't say I'm overwhelmed by the stats but he was playing for a poor Hull side.

It now seems obvious that Leeds are going all out for a marquee signing as replacement for Raphinha

Mate this is all a smoke screen to fool the fans that we tried but failed.

Gakpo is being tracked by Arsenal and Spurs, PSV have said they want to keep him. Romano has already said we’re not even close on that one.

Charles De Ketelaere was wanted by Leicester for £35m he was quoted as saying he wants European football next season ruling them out.

This has been my fear all along about losing our best two players, you can’t replace them easily because so called marquee signing are never going to be interested. If Orta is genuinely wasting time trying to sign players like this he wants speaking to.

We know we do our business quietly so if these stories are making the headlines then it’s a PR stunt, we’ve no chance of either of these two.

Meanwhile Southampton have slapped a 75 million transfer fee on Ward-Prowse. That lad that can't get a game for England because of Phillips.

My point was that we are looking at getting 45 - 50 million for Phillips. They want 75 million for Ward-Prowse. Phillips is in front of Ward-Prowse for England and therefore we should be asking for the same.

Plus there’s no way Ward-Prowse is worth £10m more than Raphinha.

Well done to Southampton though for seemingly playing hardball - something we’ve always seemed reluctant to do.
