It's very difficult to see them losing, yeah.

Only side who might be able to would be Lancs once they have all four of Buttler, Salt, Livingstone and David available.

Weird seeing Notts struggle. They must have more QFs than any other county in Blast history.

I wonder if this is just one season too far for the ageing squad. (I think I heard that they have the oldest average age in this season's competition, and one of the oldest averages ever.)

Somerset trying to create an entire XI of Tom's! Kohler-Cadmore to sign from 2023 season. I'm waiting for the call any day now. :)

That's a great signing for them. Although my understanding is that he wants to keep wicket more, which might suggest that Banton and/or Davies will be leaving. Both are out of contract at the end of the season, I believe.

(The list of available players this summer is long. Willey has already been snapped up, but in addition to the above two I believe there's also the likes of Billings, Rossington, Cobb, Sanderson, Vasconcelos, Moeen, Sibley, Hose, Stone, Mahmood, Sowter, Lyth and Du Plooy - and no doubt many others.)

Typical. Now Surrey decide to leave out Pollard, Overton and Worrall.

I wouldn't be surprised if Somerset got the better of them tonight. If you were picking Surrey's best XI, probably only Jacks, Jordan, Evans and Narine are starting tonight.

Ah in Pollard's case, he's out injured for the rest of the competition. That could be important.

It couldn't have worked out much worse for us. The ECB puts sides in mini groups of three, such that the other two teams in your mini group are the two sides who you only play twice. And whereas we get Kent and Glamorgan in our mini group, Essex and Gloucs - ie our two main rivals this season - are in the same mini group, together with Surrey!

If they both qualify, it will only be Somerset who they'll have had to play twice inside in the top four.

That's the sort of big win which Glamorgan needed in order to have even a slight chance.

But with Somerset and Essex in their next two matches - and with us and Gloucs still to play each other twice - it's still a huge ask for Glamorgan.

    Unlucky, Kent.

Denly's painful innings (again) just left them too much to do thereafter.

Makes sense that we've left Crane out. Against those batters, at Taunton, including Crane as part of a five man attack could have been very painful.

Suspect he'll come back in tomorrow (maybe for Wood, who doesn't generally play twice in two days).

Four good PP overs, two poor ones.

Not a disaster, but 10 runs behind where we'd want to be.
