My wife and son went last night and said he was brilliant. Our house is about five miles from the SoL and I could hear the music clearly when I took our dog for a walk.

Sound sounds better than it was last Saturday night at wembley. I went with my daughter to see Harry Styles and we were sitting near the top of the lower bowl in the south east corner, and all I could hear was loud mush. They had 4 tall thin speaker columns on the pitch firing into each corner, which meant that the sound just echoed all over the place. I could hear the lyrics though, sung by about 50k young women; not a patch on Wise Men Say a few weeks ago!
Got me thinking they would have been better off with the grateful dead wall of sound, 26k watts firing forwards and clear half a mile away, just like Elton at the sol.
It was freezing to boot. I think at 66 with dodgy hearing, that stadium concerts are out for me.
I might have been the oldest grumpy old git in the stadium though.

My daughter was there on Sunday night - luckily her friend's mam took them - not me :emoticon-0141-whew:

When I saw this on twitter I thought -surely not but after seeing some of my daughters videos and the screaming teenage girls I will probably agree <laugh><laugh>

Great summer all round for the city and the club, hopefully we’ll be able to attract big names again for next summer.

Only people who had a **** time were seemingly mags who couldn’t get passed their bitterness and contempt for Sunderland.

I went to Wembley to see Fleetwood Mac a few years back. By a long way the worst sound of any concert I have ever heard. Just a tinny echo, sometimes worse than others. Appalling, and my lugs are still okay!

There seems to be a massive gig every other night in the UK at the minute.

Off to Green Day next Wednesday myself.

It’s all good, hopefully the SOL continues with 2+ every summer from now.

Saw guns n roses at Gateshead years ago. Axl was ****e! Slash was amazing. Can’t imagine Axl being any better now!! Foos I loved and would go. Killers I’ve heard are awesome live, but they’ll play “are we ducking human” and I detest that song. Green day have always been mint. Are they “stadium fillers”? I’d go, but not sure of many in this country who would. Heard lady gaga Kia awesome love too so might interest me

Edit…. Just looked through the post a bit further and seen that it’s pink. She is awesome love. Saw her a few years ago and she was amazing

What is she basing this on? Does she have the facts? Has she submitted her findings to an independent body? Have the proper tests been carried out?I want the proof in a formal written report. Only then will I believe Harry Styles fans are louder than 40 odd thousand Sunderland fans singing wise men say at Wembley.

Killers were great this year. 48k might be too small for Green Day - it was in a park last time I saw them.

I was too young to see guns n roses originally. I was tempted to get tickets for spurs ground but even with all the will in the world axl isn't going to live up to those early days so I didn't commit to the cost of tickets, travel, hotel etc...

I think I made the right decision looking at the reviews and footage online.

I would go to see Metallica if it was an "end stage" set up, I can't stand these "in the round" set-ups they do.
