I've been to the tip, walked the dog and cleaned the house and the cars while Mrs Toast watched the kids. Seems counterproductive to a Father's Day experience, but having a day to myself has really freed me up mentally and it's lovely that they know I need that from time to time. They bought me a BBQ too, which is perfect because I love grilling stuff.
Lost my dad a few weeks ago after a long battle with dementia so today is a bit of a hard one. He was an avid City fan all his life. My son took over his seat in the east stand when he was no longer able to go. He always talked about the big football game in the sky he would join when he died so I’m sure he is enjoying himself. He would have loved Acun! Ironically he spent his last years in a care home next door to the Allams!
To be fair going to the tip is very satisfying! You have all that sh*t in the garage staring at you so to finally get rid feels good!
Friday afternoon drove down to London with my wife and son. Stopped at my daughter's in-laws both me and my son in-laws dad where treated like bloody royalty. Friday night BBQ, Saturday some great food and was taken to the new Boom battle bar in Ealing me being very competitive just had to win at the darts. Then went to a nice restaurant cheers. Today we had a walk up the hills at Northala fields these hills are where the old Wembley was buried a very nice parkland area ... Loved every minute. So I will now have a stone from the old Wembley in my garden when I get home. Steady drive home now. What a fantastic family I have. Got a reet lump in my throat. A final gift from my daughter was a key ring with a picture of me walking her up the isle on her wedding day this year at Kew Gardens. Thanks HT too for putting this thread up x
