Cheers Bob. It just sounds like run of the mill business operations around the selling of shares to me, people come in, don’t quite get what they would like then drop out.

Good to hear another party is agreed and a third party is going through process though.

Sounds pretty positive to me, but then I’m not overly bothered about these shares being sold as it doesn’t change that much other than SD and CM being out.

Usually worth a listen and seems a genuine lad ...

... but just made me wonder when he suggested Storey may buy Donald out.

Even if he wanted to he wouldn't pass EFL checks, or risk half a million for the due diligence, solicitors fees, atc.

Donald is desperate imo, Methven is clinging onto his shirt tails.

So from your understanding Bob, is it along the lines of they tried to sell at first to someone like Storey (not necessarily him), KLD & JS blocked.

Then it sounds by your comment 2 parties are still interested? guessing yiu still dont know who, any idea if 1 of the 2 is preferred by KLD & JS?

dont undeestand the point of JS staying until xmas, if he intends to go it may as well be now so KLD gets better options on who comes in.

Still hoping its John Reece in some capacity as hes Sunderland lad along with having the capital to drive us forward.....sensibly of course....we do not want to return to having wxnkers like Rodwell

Appreciate the update as always mate.

I'm very relaxed about it all, it will end when it ends. Fixtures out soon, pre season starts next week? Signings to be made, new kit to be released, plenty to get excited about

It's never made sense with Storey - sure he's just a plant by Methven or SD

Just want to check something I don’t understand.
    You said this ….
the buyers did not get the assurances from the other board members to be able to complete the deal.

    then said this
If KLD goes back on his offer they can sell to whoever, the fact JS decided after Wembley to hang on changed things.
Which don’t seem to marry up entirely but is it the case that they can sell to anyone but new buyers may be unlikely to unless JS and KLD make some changes to either the business strategy or governance ?

No storey and no crypto whoppers. All bull.

As far as I understand, there is still only 1 group far enough down the line, in terms of legals, to complete the deal.

If @Bob the Mackem says there is now another party starting that process then that's fair enough.

Still only the 1 that's well through the process and most likely for me.

Thanks Bobs for the update its very helpful . If JS is likely to leave in the near future then KLD will be very cautious in dealing with potential new shareholders as his 41% needs JS . Looks like this is really all about KLD and his offer .

According to what I read here ,JS is a family friend so him staying seems to me to be supporting KLD through the final process of ownership and keeping control..just a total guess from what I read on here of course.

Useful update. Still hoping for a quick outcome.
Loved the bit about the people on RTG gobbling off. I assume you meant gobbing off.
But gobbling each other off makes sense too. <laugh>

Cheers Bob for the update which also indicates that other party or parties are interested in investing in our great club.
Much to the annoyance of people elsewhere, l shall enjoy a nice bottle of 19 Crimes wine today and celebrate fathers day.

I believe your is quite right about others obsessed, but patience is rewarded me gran would say HTL

Maybe some assurances wanted by others may be that JS’s shares may be available to them at some point. If not then it would rule some out who intend to have the whole club. If they’re already likely to end with KLD then why would you

Agree with this, if JS stays in the short term it will strengthen KLDs hand through the negotiations. Then he can ride off into the sunset so to speak. Win win all round.

Bob, I am of course unbelievably uneducated in business but this may fall in with deodorant’s comment. If the ones who agreed are getting pissed off that someone else has come along, things might have changed and they’ve ****ed it off

I think the fact it's taking its time then means additional rumour and possible negatively drifts in. And as we are dealing with Donald and Methven, it's natural to think of the doom and gloom. That said, the one bid that's been ever present, is the furthest down the line and well into legal territory.

That's good enough for me, hopefully we see completion asap.
