...and this, plus the 5 subs change next season, is why I’d have Bale back in a heartbeat too, as part of that 18.
Charlie Eccleshare is implying Man Utd may be out of the race for Eriksen, they’ve made him an offer but he wants to remain in London so will be between us and Brentford.
Hearing we might be in for this guy. Left footed CB. Could just be talk, but a little dig reveals he shares the same agent as Bissouma and his current contract also expires in 2023. Could be a deal to be made, if Conte approves of course. Stranger things have happened.
Left-footed centre-half who's French-born and of Cameroonian descent? I've heard this Bassong before.
If anything is N'Dicka-tive of a player we shouldn't sign then it's definitely someone whose name begins with N' I'll get me coat
N'Dickia is a very good defender. If we signed Bremer too we would be absolutely set at CB. Romero, Bremer, Ndickia, Sanchez, Dier and Davies is a terrific set of option's.
Call me greedy but I’d sell Sanchez and go for Pau Torres and then that would be a very strong set of CB
It's almost as if somebody has decided it's smarter and cheaper to spend a certain amount on the signings the manager wants early in the transfer window in the hopes of hanging onto him and the star player than to skimp and delay, lose both, then spend a fortune trying and failing to adequately replace either one.
From 2019 until Conte was appointed, the club was making mistake after mistake. The covid situation obviously made everything harder as the financial side got tougher. It genuinely feels like they are now being decisive and proactive with all on the pitch matters. Long may it continue
We have just had the first season in the new stadium with paying fans. So really this is the first time the club was able to take advantage of the step up in revenue that it brings. But there is no doubt that the Conte effect has given the board confidence to invest. It's not a difficult observation to have worked out how Conte has changed everything in a very short time. Confidence now goes through The Board, management, players and fans alike. Ever since being losing finalists in the CL (and we never really celebrated that fantastic achievement) the whole thing went rapidly down hill, although you could argue that the cup run covered what was a rocking boat anyway, with Pochettino perhaps finding himself in uncharted waters. In effect he created a team beyond his previous experience that now needed refreshing and the mistakes in the transfer market kicked in. Then came the pandemic and a below par Mourinho, who to be fair was saddled with a severely unbalanced squad of misfits and reduced quality. Conte has arrived like a blinding light, quickly assessing the squad, identifying the weaknesses but transforming the team despite that and getting that all important 4th spot. If some of us weren't quite sure what an elite manger was, and Mourinho hadn't helped on that score, we could now see what could be achieved in a relatively short time. Harry Redknapp did it as well, it has to be said, with the famous 2 points from 8, but back to the present, we look forward to the potential of our most exciting season for maybe 5 years, can't wait!
Whispers hotting up that Bergwjin could be on his way to Ajax for £20 million and we are interested in Anthony coming the other way , the only Anthony I know of was Quinn and Newley but they are both long gone , how good is the Ajax Anthony ?
