A goal like that i can take, fantastic by Bale and Lennon. But to be in this game with 20 mins to go, i don't know how we've managed.
Well, Spuds played some beautiful football, have some great players and deserved the win. But after the disaster of the first half, I was delighted with the spirit and intent in the second, Bothroyd in particular made a big difference, Mackie and HH a nuisance, SWP better, Faurlin looks at home. Barton disappointing again, and this may be the end for Adel. Can hold our heads up at least.
Great second half performance from the lads, well done guys. The two subs made a big diff. QPR pressed up the field and that unsettled them. Thought Barton stepped up to the mark in the second half and played well. We are not at Spuds level yet and wont be for several years. But the second half performance showed we can more than compete at this level.
Great set up for the second half by Warnock. Hope we can try this for our next home game, oh i forgot it's City, won't matter. But for the games that follow against the bottom half it can def work.
Just thought I'd pop by and commiserate you on the result. Poor in the first half, but Warnock's changes and a vastly increased workrate put you back in it for most of the second half, so I think there were definitely some positives in there for you. Good luck for the rest of the season.
I'll take heart from Helguson dominating both King and Kaboul in the air, which also led to our goal. He's proving a lot of his doubters wrong, good on him
Plenty of positives from the second half but there were one or two knocks that may impact on the team next week, Ferdinand's hamstring was playing him up near the end and Traore took a knock as well. We'll need them all next week...
Cheers, you played some outstanding stuff today, at one stage I thought a hatful was on for you. I'm afraid that I cannot revise my historical dislike of you though, which has got nothing to do with current team or set up.
Well as promised I'd drop in, a good game and QPR gave it a go, and well done to your travelling fans. As I've mentioned, I dislike our team being called 'spuds', so it makes our win all the sweeter
Our second half performance was much much better. Its worth stating that spurs were pretty awesome today and have several top class players. We did cause them some problems which is a major positive. Next week city will play a similar fast counter attacking game, and we need to be ready for that.
What a different second half! As I work near Spurs was dreading tomorrow at half time, but reckon we shaded second half - definitely no disgrace. Was that the last time Taarabt starts a game for us?
Would have loved to had Parker but he was never going to come to us, brilliant player but can't believe he didn't get a card today?
Cheers for participating in the thread mate, cards on table though, you need to get over this and bite your lip, cos it comes across a bit prattish. ===================================================== Focus on the positives, they were very good, and in that 2nd half we rattled them a bit.
Warnock pleased to give 'quality Spurs' a run for their money http://www.talksport.co.uk/radio/su...ck-pleased-give-quality-spurs-run-their-money
