I think it depends on the confidence of the two clubs. Contract length also comes into it rather heavily. Brighton's current liability would only be about £1.3m, according to reports about his wage. Spurs would be putting rather more than that on the line, I'd have thought.
I'll say something even more controversial! Get your tomatoes ready. If we get Eriksen and Richarlison, with LoCelso, Winks and Bergwign going, I wouldn't mind giving N'dombele another go. In a three as cover for Eriksen. Bissouma and any of our CMs behind Ndombele would be mustard. I know it ain't gonna happen because I doubt Ndombele has the humility to beg his way back into the team and put in the work, but I can still dream. Something HUGE is happening at Spurs. There is not a squad that has improved more than ours in this window so far. I can't imagine the players not recognising this. Either of these things coming to pass would suit me down to the ground!!
and depreciation (players are regarded as an accounting asset) . "Brighton's current liability would only be about £1.3m, according to reports about his wage. Spurs would be putting rather more than that on the line, I'd have thought." Compensating for the above, and a "goodwill gesture" amount on top, is ok by me. However, there is a line to be drawn between "putting rather more than that on the line" , and someone taking the p**s.
Computer says : no, The problem with NDombele is basically his attitude. Thus IMHO he has not earned the right to be cover for any player in the 2022-23 Spurs squad.
Really hope this one comes to fruition. Wanted Bissouma all window. He's got everything , the ability to side step his opponent under pressure and carry the ball forward, strength, pace, height, pure athleticism, he's got a thunderous strike and scores free kicks. What a week it would be if Bissouma and Spence are wrapped up. After that Eriksen, LCB and a forward - obvious priorities. If Rodon goes I'd love to see that young Ukrainian CB comes in he looks superb and if Lucas goes another attacker (Paqueta) If Carling do Summer transfer windows ..........
If you can get over the fact that he is 2 stone over weight and doesn't run for 80% of the time hes on the pitch he is capable of brilliance!
Gotta be honest I just slightly disagree with this. Or to put it more mildly, I’d rather make Winks captain than see that fat, unprofessional **** in a Spurs shirt again. Just sayin’
Not exactly but he is a human being with a very intensive full time job as a coach so it's pretty unlikely he can outperform a whole recruitment team.
What a transfer window that would be. Getting them done early means the club can then focus on selling the deadwood for the rest of the window while the first team squad would be set in place nice and early
doesn’t looks like that list of targets are gonna get us anywhere near a £150m spend, either. Financially this could be a very good window if we can offload the likes of Lo Celso and Ndombele too. makes you wonder if that leaves room for a marquee signing later in the window…
Seems like there are Conte "must have" targets, then any others will be bonuses. Even if Eriksen returns, the squad IMHO needs young talent who will be capable of being the next Eriksen for at least 5 seasons. If the "must haves" are done, I believe that the "marquee"signings will at least include Bale.
The same thing that pundits and Arsenal fans will do after we finally win this cup that they keep saying we haven’t won in ages. F£&@ knows!
