    Correct.

Like I said, carry on with your good work and if you want to discuss it on here then fair enough. It bores the pants off many posters, but it's called free speech and long may that survive.

I actually see "having nothing to add" to this thread as a bonus. I'm basically a retired sparky amongst many other things during my working life, and now that working to earn a living is a thing of the past, indulge myself in my family, friends and football - but not necessarily in that order. Selfish? - maybe, but that's the way it is.

I have no ambition nor intention of saving the world and righting the multitude of wrongs that infest it, though I realise others have much more serious approach and wish to take an active role.

I don’t know enough to comment , l know immigration is a complex issue and I don’t pretend to have the answer.

My main concern is the loss of life in the attempt to travel the short journey from France to the UK in small overcrowded boats, which is why I said if the policy prevents that, despite any arguments about the rights and wrongs in terms of morality etc, then I can kinda go along with it. However if it doesn’t stop it then the morality comes into play, & that’s where I personally draw the line.

    'opiniated' - kettle black.....

Surely we're all concerned with migrants being risked by traffickers. Not for one minute do I think the plane will depart to Rwanda on Tuesday, it's a shame as it might just scupper the traffickers evil trade.
The last part of your comment is just smart ass and unnecessary.

The point I was making was having an opinion about something and posting it on what is esseentially a football forum is one thing, but altering such situations as an individual is quite another. Nothing "smart ass" about my final point about changing the world - unless you think you can do it on your own.

It seems that certain posters on here are just "better persons" than me, but I can live with that.

We have to do something about the people trafficking
Is the answer better processing of migrant applications - I don't know
Should Interpol be more involved with catching smugglers?
I guess I feel uneasy about shipping people off to Rawanda

How do you feel as part of the agreement RR that we will be taking immigrants from Rwanda in return?

Think they have deliberately kept it quiet. We are taking "some of the most vulnerable" from Rwanda. Or in other words the ones that need most support, healthcare etc

The French have been paid a ridiculous amount of money by the British Government to stop these crossings but they have no interest in helping.

The best way to stop this is to turn these dinghies around mid English Channel and return them to the safe country they’ve just departed from. Get the army, Air Force and Navy involved and enforce it with all the surveillance equipment available

Failing that let Prince Charles, Justin Welty and alll the other ****ing worthy lefties be paired with an illegal and send the lot to Rwanda or put them up in their own properties given they’ve got so much spare room

I have to add that I find Prince Charles comments to be pathetic. The Queen has rightly been above politics for her entire reign but he can’t resist sticking his nose in.

All the young, white, middle class women who were protesting yesterday would soon change their opinion if they get accosted, propositioned, raped or murdered by these people who declare women to be second class citizens in their own culture.

No to illegals entering our country it’s all a sham and we who voted for Brexit and the Tories in the belief it would secure our National borders against undesirables have been hoodwinked

Why is there a housing shortage ?
Why can’t people see a GP or a dentist ?
Why are the roads so congested ?
Why is there a 6.2m backlog on NHS Lists ?
Why are local authorities struggling ?

the fact that our population has grown by 10 million people since 2000, 84% of which is due to immigration might give you a clue

I’m not even anti immigration, it can be good for a country

But I am very VERY anti illegal immigration and these people are breaking the law and should be dealt with accordingly not pandered to or prioritised above our own people

Childrens hospital / maternity hospital went there for a a family birth ..immigrants from northern east africa countries took up all but 3 beds in maternity . vistors were asked to sanitise and just visit in pairs ... there must have been over 20 adults and 12 kids... 5 or 6 constantly around beds and going in and out no sanitizer .. children were everywhere touching stuff not supposed to ... family incumbent who had had baby 3 hours before and a lady of WEST INDIAN baby 6 hours old just grabbed babies and walked out .... staff tried to stop them to do necessary paperwork etc etc etc .. but neither, even with our advice, would went back about 5 mins later for cards flowers and gifts sweets and chocolates etc all gone cards being scribbled on by kids [ might have been 10 mins! ] ....
but know what you mean about other appointments ... non white British are supposed to be 70% of population.. so why on appointments to hospitals and appointments it is like 1 of us? and 5 of them or more?

How would you enforce turning them back? , what would happen if whilst attempting this a boat sunk killing all onboard?,
Prince Charles has views, he always has, many that were considered radical years ago re climate change etc are now main stream.

When he’s King he’ll obviously have to keep them to himself, bearing in mind the latest one is from a private remark he made. He’ll just have to be a bit more careful.

He used to send letters, which obviously would be well out of order once he’s king, otherwise leave him be.

illegals are just that, Brexit or not, I don’t see the difference, the thing Brexit allows is to control LEGAL immigration, not to be confused with refugees, which we should always be more tolerant of. The two are often confused.

We have a professional army, navy, Air Force and border force so be between them they should already be trained to intercept a rubber dinghy and turn it around safely

This state of affairs just cannot be allowed to continue

This costs the UK Taxpayer some £5m per day just in hotel accommodation, plus food, clothes, new mobile phone and £28 or £35 (I forget which) per person per week spending money when we have British kids and families who were born here suffering the latest cost of living rises and genuine poverty everywhere.

But these people are NOT refugees they are economic migrants
If they originated in Iran, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan and even if they’ve fled war, they will probably have passed through several safe and potentially much bigger countries than this overcrowded and broke little one
But as many people have asked, where are the women and children ? Left to fend for themselves ‘back home’ one assumes ?

They aim for the UK because we’re a soft touch but after months of campaigning by GB News the rest of the media has suddenly realised what the score is and overall it is costing £4 billion per year
A truly staggering amount of money caused by people that have no right to be here. Yet due to this crisis and others our taxes go up to fund it ! This is not what I and millions of others voted for. We need a strong government with the vision and courage to put this to bed by stamping it out once and for all. But instead we’ve got liar liar pants on fire dithering and not leading the country like a Prime Minister ought to.

As a now sovereign nation I would exit us from the European Court of Human Rights policy that we signed up to in the 1950s immediately, deal with these illegals as we see fit but humanely of course, and to hell with what the rest of the world thinks of us. This isn’t a game and people want results. Stop these people coming here in the first place and we’ll avoid all the despicable lawyers getting adjournments and preventing extradition

Who knows that might really might discourage another 100,000 coming in the remainder of this year

As I said, this can’t go on, it’s beyond ridiculous, and Boris and co will be paying a heavy price at local and National elections mark my words.

I’d go as far to say that the majority of UK taxpayers are heartily sick and disgusted at being taken for mugs by this situation and this impotent government.
