Yes, he has benefited from very good young players.

But no other contender for manager then would have played more than a tiny few of them, including BSA. They might say now that they would have, but we all know different. It would have been steady Eddies , just as it always has even before.

Southgate, and the team, suffered from a bit of a lack of Champions League nous IMO. Quite a few of the players in the Croatia semi and the Italy final were in this bracket and it matters.

We came off second in those games because we basically didn't take part in the second halves until the equaliser. Southgate could have done with a wiser old assistant there, particularly in the final, to suggest bringing on Sancho or Grealish much earlier. They both hold the ball up well and can get you out of your half, which is what we weren't doing.

Hopefully Southgate has learned this lesson, although I really can't see us doing all that well in 35 deg heat.

    Deal progressing as it should.

Overview from previous posts for the doubters.

Heard SD or CM had sold or selling their shares. (Announced by media some time later this was happening)

Heard investor/investors are serious and will invest in the club. (Potentially Swis based not 100%)

Heard news update from club within 7 - 10 days. CM stated in the Athletic two bids have been accepted. (Days later).

Heard Tom White would announce something from club. (KLD released statement)

It’s a very funny film and appreciated by many. But I don’t think the cast get the credit they should for their acting. Apparently comedy acting isn’t easy, but their characterising was not only original and brilliant, their timing was faultless. I wish I could remember what I did with my dvd. I get a fancy to watch it again everytime someone mentions it. A pity the religious connotations stop a lot of people from watching it because they are missing one of the funniest films ever made (in my view anyway).

You may Bob. Yes it was with Parky. Methven was also there, mic in hand and upsetting people. Kevin Ball had to calm people down after something he said. Regarding The Vic. I know, apparently I'm in it. Never watched it myself.

I’d started to have serious doubts about them in summer 2019. I thought our transfer business that summer was awful and we’d had a poor start to the season under Ross. It then emerged in the august that we were in talks with FFP so I thought ah well at least change is on the horizon.

Fast forward to October and Donald has ****ed up the takeover and appointed Phil Parkinson. I knew then that he was an incompetent chancer who needed chasing.
