Sorry I forgot you are always right, of course no one can have an opinion that differs to yours and be valid, how silly of me.

Opinion is fine backed up by reasoning or even the odd fact, I haven't seen either in your posts about racist French laws, French laws that seem to be of benefit to all.

Forget it, sometimes you don’t see reason. Opinion is not always based on facts, especially where religion is concerned, in religion faith is more important.

Fine, what has faith got to do with religious symbolism?

So the High Court says we can send migrants to Rwanda.

I'll believe it when I see it.

If the mere threat stops anyone coming I can kinda go along with it, but if they actually carry it out and send people, then no sorry I can’t condone it.

Migrants (and the traffickers) have known for months this policy was on the cards.
Hasn't stopped them at all, twice as many have arrived this year compared to last year.
Should the policy take place one hopes it will stop migrants risking their lives unnecessarily.
And put traffickers out of business.

in an interview tonight one of the "to be exported" stated he paid the smugglers money to get him to Europe then said he HAD to [ WAS FORCED ? !! ] get on a boat to UK. Was happy to be in Europe !!!

Didnt say how much money, or whether paid to get to Europe then had to pay again for boat? but his comments dont really make sense! Now realises he has screwed up and looking to go back to Europe, which wont happen as it is a one way trip / stop when leaving EU! Now he has the potential of being taken back to his origin, Via Rwanda to origin, stay in Rwanda or persuade the UK he is worthy immigrant [ has good reason to be here/ has skill needed/ etc.

A few weeks ago interviews with prospects crossing said "no way we will get sent to RWANDA .. so paying our money and getting on the boat ..... well just wait for the news to get back .... Hi brother, save your euro's, stay in EU ... currently in Rwanda with 2 choices ... stay here, AND GET A JOB or go home!

What is your view on EU financed detention centres for migrants?

Is that a reply to a question to a thread that is not about football?

I would expect anybody who holds a sincere view regarding the UK 'offshoring' asylum seakers to Africa, would have a view on the EU having detention centres for migrants that are also in Africa.

Libya: Horrific violations in detention highlight Europe’s shameful role in forced returns - Amnesty International

The report mentions beatings, sexual violence, extortion, forced labour, and inhuman conditions in EU centres.

Just fill your boots guys - ignore me. <ok>

Just amazed how opinionated many you are about subjects that have little relevance in your everyday life - that is of course unless you plan to change the world.

How do you know the topics have no relevance to peoples lives?

My life is impacted by immigration, my partners father was a asylum seeker, I coach football teams with kids that are from differing continents, including now children fron Ukraine. Housing and services are under pressure, Immigration puts further pressure on social structure. That is relevant to my life.

Its not always good. The company I work for recently employed cleaners on £16 an hour, it was the then realised that was two cleaners for £16 an hour, and their employer taking his cut. The cleaners were working here illegally, for a pittance and being exploited.

Stating this is wrong, we will not be involved in this and being able to have grown up conversations, leading to the forming of ideas and principles is always the start.

Meanwhile you had nothing to add.

I will Believe it when I see them planes in the air.
They travel across 4/5 countries for the free housing-free food-free money-free nhs all before our own.
We are full not to mention rapes-muggings-thefts-going through the roof.
They are never going to follow our rules and
believes they are here to milk the system paid for by hard working taxpayers.
