Am I missing something about him, what does he actually bring to the England team and what does it take for him to be dropped, absolutely gash against Hungary and anonymous tonight. Playing with 10 men again.

germany done well, keeping england quiet.

that said i do agree with you, there are currently 4 or 5 that keep getting picked that i think should contribute far more on the pitch...i am not a fan of grealish but have to say he has wanted the ball and created since he came on...i would name them but football is all opinions and others will see things differently than me.

I thought he was pretty anonymous through the Euros.

Not to the standard of Declan Rice who was made absolutely redundant by the doubling up in his position.

I don’t mind Mount but it was ridiculous playing him LW against Hungary the other night, he was really poor.

From what I saw Saka was absolutely gash as well. Grealish and Bowen changed the game. Pickfords distribution poor tonight. We've looked ****e last 2 games.

Till he had that 20 yard strike in the second half when he should have played Sterling in I wasn’t aware he was on the pitch.
Him and Saka were poor last night but then again so were England.

No your not , hes poor and has been for a while, yet is picked time and again, as are others those wingers for instance. What does it say to those not given a chance until the last few minutes if at all about this manager. Ideology or should that be idolatry rules is my guess.

he plays for the right team.

rashford was 'the next big thing' and while a strong man utd team flowed well he looked every bit a top player, man utd have struggled this season and rashford has not looked anywhere near his 'usual' self.

i was never a great footballer but i reckon stick me in the current man city team for a month or two as my teenage self and i would look good and this is the problem with england team selectors whichever sport it is, they pick those who look good in a strong team, that know their own team and understand where the passes need to go then they end in an england team and straight away one vital part of their game is removed.

okay so i realise a good player will always be a good player but his/her team mates can make or break them imho, you need players on the pitch that can compliment each other.

IMHO most those players who are regular for England want a break/be on holiday now.

For me Bellingham (aged 18) was man of the match and Grealish and Bowen when they came on, had something to prove.

Mount has had an outstanding season in the Premier League this season, but it does feel like we don't really play him in his natural position. I think he's developing into the natural replacement for Lampard at Chelsea, bombing into the box late. He's best as an attacking midfielder through the middle in my opinion but England don't play with that player.

I'd like to see him play as the most advanced of a midfield 3 (and scrap the back 5) but more importantly, I think the team should be built around Foden and Rice. We should find the way to get the best out of those 2 and we build from there with the players that best fit the system, not the most talented.

Should stick to football rather than get involved in politics , without doubt he has become distracted from his day job and boy does it show . In fairness the troubles at Man Utd have not helped him in the least but he seems to have lost his way .

I started this post a couple of minutes before he had that shot and I thought as soon as it left his foot that he should’ve played Stirling in as he was never gonna beat neuer from that distance

With only 3000 children allowed in you would have thought that they could have held the game in one of the small clubs grounds like Accrington, Cambridge or newcastle.
