Aye I know all this. Kid may turn out to be next Drogba, doesn't mean I need to like him at the minute or like what appears to be going on at the minute. Much better players and bigger reputation players have come to us before and failed miserably. By all means gamble £5m on a hot prospect that needs a lot of work beefing up. Spunking £30m on a kid with dodgy hamstrings who's game is all about explosive bursts of pace who needs a couple of stone of muscle added to him is a massive gamble when it appears he doesn't want to come.
I'd take Ziyech and Zynchenko from Citeh like...we're years off from challenging them realistically so they may be quite open to the idea of bolstering our ranks to hopefully enhance our chances of taking points off their nearest and dearest next season.
He's already good enough to play and like I've explained you don't know better than the scouts and neither do I mate. Yes you can not want him and yes you can make your own interpretation based on youtube videos, but your view is very different to what I see. This player has pace, he's got lethal close control and he has that knack of being in the right place and the right time to score something called a goal.... I then coupled what I saw with the fact our scouts/club who know better than both of us want this player no matter how far they need to go and it made sense to me. The injury is merely a delay and he has months to recover from an everyday injury.
You're being foolish then because you don't get a player that wouldn't fancy Milan over Newcastle. You'd just give up on anyone good enough to even have that as an option and end up with someone not as good. Newcastle have to defeat clubs off the pitch and on it... They won't get anywhere being quitters.
Newcastle are bullying the living daylights out of AC Milan and they want to defeat them just like they wanted to defeat the premier league. Our owners have demonstrated their resolve and they will not just quit like a bunch of squeeling wimps.
That's the spirit mate I want nufc to defeat ac Milan. Whatever the cost may be... The quality of the player is irrelevant to me at this point in the battle
I'm happy that we're prioritising the right positions. CB and ST are our priorities. After this, I'm happy if we splash out and sign Paqueta, so long as CB and ST are dealt with.
Players is one thjng, but defeating clubs and taking their life source and reputation is the victory I see in this.
Imagine - ASM---------Wilson/Ekitike-------------Fraser ----Paqueta---Bruno----Joelinton Targett---Burn----Botman-------Trippier -------------------Dubz-------------------------- Subs - Darlow Wilson/Ekitike Wood Almiron Willock Longstaff Manq Krafth Schar
I really don't want to hear or see any defeatist posts... Nufc is engaged in battle with one of the super powers and I don't want to come out on the losing side! I want newcastle to send the world a clear and concise message not to take them lightly anymore.
Fraser is a good player IMO. Works hard, the only winger we have that can cross a ball, scores the odd goal. Under Howe at Bournemouth he was an assist machine. He got like 15 assists in one season at one point.
Not the team I'd like. Burn on the bench, Schar in alongside Botman. Paqueta/Joelinton swapsies. Ekitike, me no likey-likey, get me a proper player in there like Jesus, Isak, David or Gouiri. Fraser is worse than Almiron, and neither are good enough so got to be a new signing there - Diaby, Harrison, Doku all linked. Would also prefer an upgrade on Dubravka.
I understand, but we wont be able to upgrade the entire team so soon. I'm just saying what I think the team will be next season.
