Southgate going 4 at the back v Germany… but 5 at the back v Hungary. Makes sense.

Amazing how we have no English left backs to choice so got the 4th best Rb to play there instead.

Loads of negative comments about England players online.

Neuer has had more touches than any England player.

The reality is the good players in the England team are not "poor" cos they are playing for England. They are playing in a bad set up.

    A negative mindset.

it’s interesting reading the bbc sport article on Musiala. He says under Hansi Flick Germany are playing a very aggressive pressing from the front style of play, just like Liverpool under Klopp and City under Pep. What we get from Southgate is nothing of the sort

Tammy Abraham , whether people think he’s a top striker or not a, scored 27 goals for Roma last season Yet even when the Nations League is nothing more than glorified friendlies, can’t get on for the second game in a row.

'The question is whether the ball had gone past Kane before he was brought down'. Er, no, it ****ing isn't. How do these dickheads get pundit jobs? They know **** all of the rules of the game.

    Ridiculous really.

Surely the fact that he's offside would be more of a question?

Thought i was the only one that noticed that, started well offside and was moving back as the ball was played.
Never quite made it back onside,

He looked offside in real-time, when they went to the replays it was obvious, I assumed even with the mysterious interfering in play rule the offside occurred first so the foul becomes moot.

It has to, if Kane wasn't there the defender wouldn't be chasing back, he was interfering with play by chasing the ball even though he never touched it.

If the club that pays his wages make a reasonable request that he doesn't risk injuring himself further then he should go along with that request.
Would the scan have prevented him from playing for Egypt? Surely only if it showed that there is a risk there, which is sort of the point.
I can't take his side in this one.

Maybe they asked if he wanted to have a scan and he said yeah but let me just focus on this game first and we’ll get it done after.

Hard to take sides when only getting one side of the story

I wouldn't disagree with that, but I wasn't aware that we were only given one side of the story. Whose side was it?
All I read was that he'd refused a request from the club to have a pre-match scan. This is simple factual reportage without any bias. If there's more to it than that I must have missed it.

Well the only quotes came from the Egypt manager saying he rejected the request for an X-ray. No comment from Salah, nothing from liverpool. Given it’s a muscle injury, a x ray woukdnt pick anything up so can’t rule out that but if lost in translation?

He’s now actually had the scan and will sit out the final game after finding a slight strain.

As I say, it might have been lfc saying, we think you should, Salah saying I feel fine and want to play this, will sort after. And it’s been done.

Given the only controversy has come because Egyptian manager mentioned something, feel it’s being made a much bigger deal than it was

Interestingly Platini does seem to go to trial so he gets off too.

    Btw on this whole thing.

2018 wolrd cup was a sportswashing event too.

2006 world.cup was taken off Africa corruptly.

2010 was awards on the sop to soothe the anger over 2006.

2022 is a shameful thing that I can tell you I will boycott totally.
