Are people saying that though Eire? I think first choice for almost all of us is for him to stay. But if his heart is set on leaving… or if there’s a strong risk of him running down his contract and going for peanuts in a years time… then sometimes it’s about getting the best deal you can.

if we’re not in the champions league we are not going to get champions league calibre players wanting to play for us.

My view is it’s more important we improve overall squad quality and establish ourselves in the league than any one individual player. Get that he, more than anyone, helped keep us up and would love him to stay but with a stronger squad we wouldn’t need to rely on one player.

We don't need Tarkowski we've got Struijk and Cresswell spend whatever money we have on a decent midfielder and striker.

But we’re gambling on selling what we know is quality for signings from other leagues with no pl experience that we all hope will improve us and I hope they do. However if we sell Rapha and kp in this window god forbid we are highly unlikely to be stronger and it’ll be another gamble

    Minamino isn't good enough
    We don't need Tarkowski
We definitely do not need a footballer who's flirting with jail.

£60m plus Takumi Minamino - Too good to turn down?

NO! it is not good enough to turn down, so we should! If it was a club from abroad, we could let him go for £70m. But it is Liverpool, it is the same league that we are in. If we are going to sell him to another club in the PL we should net sell him for less than £100m:bandit:

Leeds may look to hijack Everton’s move for Tarkowski

No thank you. We have enough CB in the club that is just as good or better. It would be a waste of money to get him<doh>

Raphinha may end up staying until January

Let’s all hope he will and longer:emoticon-0137-clapp

Leeds ready to snap up Ecuador forward as long as he avoids prison

But we don’t want to sign Noa Lang because he is a racist. I wish he only has been driving a car drunk and injured some people:emoticon-0138-think

    But he's a freebee.

    The stats show

    Most clearances in top flight

Best defensive headerer in top flight

2nd most blocks in the top flight

Minaimino wants to leave Liverpool due to a lack of game time. The Bin Dippers aren't trying to off load him.

I’d take Tarkowski for free if we’re bringing in some decent cash by selling Llorente. That would make sense but not many other reasons would

TRkowski 18 month ago was wanted by WHU who were quoted £70m, but the player refused to go. wHU still wanting him on a freebie butthe player is seeing hiw much he can get for himself. He ran his contract down so that he can get a huge pay rise and will expect offers of circa £150k per week. West Ham have apready told Lingard to do one because he already earns £148k per week and demanded more. Tarkowski is all thats wrong with the game and I have not changed my mind sine Micheal Brown sat on hus arse at Portsmouth knowing he would never play for them again and knowing Leeds wanted him, he ran his contract down first and then came greedy twats.

if you have 6 pretty good CBs why want Tarkowski

yep. You’re kept busy as a centre back for Burnley

he is a good defender… and in terms of anything we have as a pure defender a definite upgrade. Ours are more ball playing defenders. Compare and contrast with llorente’s stats… worst defender in the premiership in terms of arial battles won.

might part explain Burnley’s and ours respective defensive records

I think we get that Eire- although the 17m we paid for unproven raph shows it can work it’s the exception not the rule.

Once a guy is down to 2 years it’s piss or get off the pot time. If he stays he needs to sign a new deal (and it would certainly have a release clause - word is it was the size of the release clause that caused discussions to stall last winter). If he really doesn’t want to be here do you force him? Spurs stuck to their guns with Kane… it can be done, but often managers don’t want de-motivated players in their squad. It’s not as cut and dry as people think.

I’d also say this. On his day raph is a brilliant footballer… and won us plenty of points. When he’s off it though he’s a liability and he was off it plenty last season.

Do I hope we keep him? Yes. Is it the end of the world and is he irreplaceable? Not in my opinion if we can use ALL the cash to strengthen the squad. <cheers>

Maybe Llorente was following instructions and a man for man operation? Funny how Llorente got top marks for his 90 mins performance for Spain the other night and the Spanish media wanting to know why he and Pau Torres were not playing in the last match where they could only draw? Llorente is a very good ball playing CB but has had a shyt season like everyone

The only negative regarding Raph was his attitude in some of the games last season.Granted his performances got better at the tail end of the season, but in some games he went missing and seemed uninterested and nearly cost us our place in the League.<ok>

Spanish newspaper 'SPORT' have said that Raphinha has turned down Liverpool. Apparantly Liverpool offered 56m plus Minamino, but Raph wants to go to Barcelona.

IF we are looking at CBs then perhaps one of or both Koch and Llorente have asked to move on? I can only hope that the reports about Phil Jones are wide of the mark, he is shocking.
