Don't know the details mate. Just heard his shares were going to be going but now they are not. See how it all shakes down in the new split. Would have been nice for KLD to have take up JS 20% but not happening now apparently.
It’s also worth noting that if this new investor also took Sartori’s shares, it’ll be for 59% stake in the club making him/her the majority shareholder. Unless the new investor is from the LD family, in which case I’d have preferred them to get Sartori’s shares too. They seem a very good family to have as owners.
SD and CM going is the biggest thing for me, KLD seems to really get the club and the fans and can clearly see the bigger picture. I trust the recruitment team to bring in some decent players, probably for not a lot of money as the market for free agents appears to be huge and there are clearly loans and bargains to be had. It's going to be a hell of a ride and by God do we deserve it after the last few years
What a night that was, managed to get through to the second half of the second leg of the play-offs .... no goals yet As I've said I'm not ITK with any of this, just get messages from various people on here, RTG and a couple who are well connected. As happened last time it's a bit of a domino effect, people I don't even know pm me and tell me what they know or ask what I've heard. The lad on RTG never posts anything because of the insane flak it attracts from so-called Sunderland supporters. When you get a couple of similar messages at the same time, from two people who don't know each other, it's exciting. Then when you see Prehab/whoever come on repeating that Donald and Methven have now gone, or whatever, I have to admit it gets quite exciting. My phone lit up last night at the same time Prehab came on. That's probably lips loosening on a Friday night. The chap who messaged me doesn't know Prehab, and doesn't go on forums, so that's a good sign. He's not a Sunderland supporter so doesn't get carried away like we do. All I've been told, that hasn't been posted, is that KLD has tried/is trying to increase his personal share holding either from Sartori or the other two. It looks like the idea was to get a more equal balance for the chairman but that's pure guesswork, from me, I'm not into finance just football.
Any inklings as to who the two players are? Or even just position they play? Being greedy for info here just buzzing about the whole thing
Straight to the point as always, cheers mate. This is why people appreciate what you say as it's not cryptic! While you are feeling generous, something I'm eager to know; has Mr Gooch committed yet? I know you have always sang his praises of what he could do and until recently I have always thought he isn't ever going to show it! But the lad has been a revelation under AN, top his current form with his passion and love for the club and he has completely changed my mind on him from not being fussed if he goes to hoping he is the first new contract. If you can't answer that I understand.
Always liked Gooch. Been great under AN too. Proper loves it here, Mrs is a sound one too, sunderland mad family. I heard he agreed a deal last week but hadn't been announced yet so maybe still going on. Might be cash as his deal that has expired was a canny wedge, why the club wanted to move him on in January. If I hear anything I'll let you know. If it's purely down to him and money, he will stay, no doubt about it.
I must admit one of the biggest things for me with him is sitting back and looking at it. He has been here since he was a kid (was he about 10-13) and due to that he is Sunderland through and through he is also now in a red and white family. I didn't realise how much this clubland to him until recently. He ****ing loves it and its class to see. When he plays his game simple, get a yard on his man and stick one into the box he is class. I reckon AN will have picked up on this and encourage the simple game more.
He’s been brilliant under AN mind, would love to see him stay. The lad would run through a brick wall for this club now and same can be said for a few others. Exactly the type of attitude we need, plus I think he’s more than good enough for the championship. For the first time in a very long time I’m really optimistic for next season.
I'm not getting into the daft 'board wars' that only exists in the minds of a few sad individuals. But there's a reason why the likes of Wheatsheaf, Prehab, Magnus and even me post what they're told on here. This is a typical post in response to a happy little message from someone last night. "Riv was always a dog nonce. Him supposedly being amiable is just him compensating for being an absolute bastard." Then they'll claim there's no unnecessary abuse on there Bob takes a ridiculous amount of flak on RTG when it's obvious he's a decent bloke, a lad from the bad old days and gets to hear info from the club. Wheatsheaf posted about things before they broke in the media, people hear stuff ... big deal.
