If he’s going, at least if it’s done early it’ll give us time to get a replacement

He has come on leaps & bounds since returning from injury, he has everything really, pace, power and can use either foot, it’s obvious there is going to be interest & speculation. The only time we’ll know for sure is once the window is over. As I said a in a previous post, I hope if he goes it’s early, to allow us as much time as possible to replace him.

under Nigel Pearson he is a different player.
    No smoke without fire.
Either the Ghanaian journalist is drumming up interest or if true he is flying back to the uk then returning there has to be something in his tweet.
The guy is a respected journo in Ghana.
    Time will tell.

Not me mate, 5 years for sure, I never believed in LJ, never thought he'd get us anywhere, he never did, full of false promises and a complete bag of wind, I will add this is completely a personal point of view to which I am entitled as you are of yours.

We did better than before he arrived so did do us something... the wheeler dealing and suchlike MA with LJ in charge when players were elevated to a higher status and ability brought in a profit, club was in profit when he left!
There is all sorts of ways of looking at individuals and what they leave behind .... there is also the environment they operated in ... be it a league that had quality or was average or below average.. even circumstances like Covid!.. the worst claim to fame has to go to NP ... 6 POINTS FROM 39 OR 3 POINTS FROM 36 ..... AND A SEASON that saw us finish, technically just 2 places higher than the one before ... 1 place on points actually won .... and 2 teams doing well before deductions and non ability to improve their squads! .. both could have put us back to 19th.
Hopefully the dire dissapointments of this past season will not be replicated next season ... on the face of it ... whilst this season was an above average [ imo ] one .... next looks like being a bit average/ slightly below average one.. we should in reality be in the top 12 all of the season ... maybe even in the top 8 ... how we end it... well hopefully at least in top 6 ........

If we sell Semenyo, who we get as a replacement is crucial imo

In terms of moving up a level and playing regularly (which he needs to at this point in his progress), Celtic is the sensible choice. Do 2-3 years there and build his profile for a big move when he can step straight into a good/top PL side. If he leaves now, that doesn’t happen for me.

Think Celtics record buy £9 million. So can’t see them paying what we value Semenyo at.

I don't think the loss of a 37 year old will affect us and we move on.

I'm with you supcon as we need younger players to withstand a full season.

I can’t imagine we wanted both, it would have been either, or, with Klose the preferred one, once he signed any interest in Davies would have evaporated.
