I think it will be nothing more exciting than Maurice his twin brother and a few close family business associates. It will be a case of KLD really needing shot of SD and CM to move the club forward and he doesn't want another summer destabilised by takeover talk dragging on so he has asked Maurice to help him get them out rather than end up with some relatively tinpot fella SD finds who KLD might not get on with. I don't understand why KLD doesn't just buy them out himself mind as even if the shares are above valuation, at only 39% of total its not going to be a huge amount anyway. But I'm sure there's a good business reason there somewhere.
I think a lot of KLD's reasoning comes from seeing how his father was idolised/reviled ad infinitum. Spreading the load may mean it's all easier.
I have been racking my brains as to why KLD doesnt just buy the shares himself. I do wonder if there was a plan for this to happen but in the meantime somebody has come out of the blue, with more wealth, who is happy to put the money in but let KLD continue to lead. It feels plausible if it were to be the case. Particularly if that person were introduced by the father in law, who will have the contacts. It isnt beyond the realm of possibility that someone approached the father in law about investing and it has rolled from there.
Me too. It wouldn't surprise me. He passed certain tests last year and was tipped to be involved at Christmas time. Not sure how people would see this as a negative mind. More of the DF family involved. Massive. Let's see though.
Anyone in the KLD clan being involved would be a great thing. It would practically complete a buy out with Sartori having very little true say. Having his twin involved would be fantastic news for the club with very little negatives.
Risk. If it all goes tits up he's not burdened with the whole club. Also, power move. Be knows the other 2 can't find it. Why give them an easy option when he had control. The longer it's strung out, the more they will be compelled to sell (probably to am associate of his).
love reading all the different scenarios being offered by everyone, suppose it gives us something to think about and discuss during 'no football season' but in truth, it is very rare that anyone outside of the boardroom will find out what has been going on...so we will never truly know the answers. i just hope it is sorted reasonably quickly so everything is in place ready for the season starting and before the loony brigade start inventing wild stories without substance.
I'd bet good money that the club strategy won't change whatever happens. KLD is chairman, manager is in place, contracts are being discussed and targets agreed on I'd imagine ... ... the 'new people' aren't coming in to take over the running of the club, but to invest.
I hope and expect, that whoever buys the 39% is closely connected to KLD's familly, but in theory what is to stop SD and CM selling to the highest bidder?
I dont know you mate, but KLD turned his offer backwards to all 3 of them, JS was pissed off with him but has decided to stay. They will be gone in 2 to 3 weeks, it's just the legals
It's not unusual for the majority shareholder to have first option at the same price being offered. If he didn't want the buyers in the club I think he could block it. And I doubt anyone would want to come into the club knowing you'd be instantly hated.
