Why would I be nervous Ponks? ... lad wants to move on... if your lot want to make the highest bid and he's happy with that so am I ... bit of a sideways move going to a club that will challenge for top 6, but less likely for top 4 (as proven <whistle>) as opposed to him supposedly wanting guaranteed CL ... but hey ho ... that's footballers for you ..

Fact is he will be much easier to find a replacement for (indeed Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall might be a home grown one) than Maddison, Barnes, Vardy, Fofana and Justin ...who Brenda will be looking to build around ...

What you really need in midfield is a physical presence that isn't just an undisciplined twat like Xhaka ... but that's not really Youri ...

You're welcome

<cheers>

Stop worrying about it Flos. He’s never going to join Arsenal, I’ve got about 20 comments of yours saying so.

<cheers>

Why would you be "happy" with one of your best players joining a rival?

It weakens you and strengthens a team that you'll be competing with for Europe next season

Coz players move on ... that's a reality ...he'll always be remembered with fondness and gratitude for that cup final winner ... so I'll wish him all the best... as I did with Kante and Mahrez, ... doesn't always work out mind., as Drinkwater and Maguire found out ... but I'd much rather have enthusiastic hungry players wanting to do well in the shirt than a player who thinks he's outgrown the club ... the key thing is leaving on our terms rather than on theirs, like Arsenal, United and now Chelsea (Rudiger) have experienced ...

... and whilst Youri is a smashing player ... as I said, there are others that I would hate to lose more ... Vardy is... well Vardy ... Maddison has been exceptional this season ... Barnes is a real handful and Fofana and James Justin are fantastic young defenders ((on long term deals) ...

anything is possible, including keeping him until January if we don't get an offer that meets our expectations ...

That makes sense Flossy, reject a £30m bid in the summer coz it doesn't 'meet your expectations',
so that you then lose him for £5 and a pack of Haribos in January

<laugh>

But none of this explains why you'll "be happy".

I get you have to accept it.
I get he's given great memories.
I get that no player is bigger than the club.
I get that players come and go.
I get you'll make a big profit on him.

But ****ed if I get "being happy" for a player to join a rival making you weaker and them stronger.

Weird **** for a football fan to say imho

... you are assuming it will make them stronger and us weaker ... we sold Maguire for a record fee and brought in Wesley Fofana for half the price... we went on to win the FA Cup ... that's football ... <ok>

Oh Ponky, you are so one dimensional it's unreal ... if we keep him and he's spectacularly good there will be many clubs in the CL interested in January as they look to bolster for the knock-out stages... if he's crap the opposite might happen ... either way we'll only sell if and when we have a plan for a replacement option ... you're welcome <cheers>

Give up Fosse, he want's out and is leaving. Arsenal is a good destination for him and a step up, they didn't get CL this year but with his help may well do next.

****in Hell <laugh>

He wants out Flossy.

Far from you calling the shots about 'if and when' and only if you've got a replacement etc. If you **** about and try and keep him against his will, you'll get precisely **** all for him when he leaves on a free next summer.

It's not even certain they'll make any profit on him. Think they paid £32m for him. If he had 3 years on his contract he's a £50m-£60m player.

With one year left and him saying he's not signing another contract, he's going for £25m-£30m

So let me get this right...

Four years ago Leicester made a £40M record signing and now he's refused a new contract and that's fine absolutely fine. Rather than losing the player for nothing they're likely to get some of that money back by selling him this year and again that's all good.

Okidoki <ok>

Welcome to Fosse world <ok>

Now you may think that as a United supporter i am in no position to comment given the Pogba debacle, the difference is we all know how much of a **** up that was and accept as such.

According to Flossy, they are going to keep him against his will, which will inspire him to play sensational football just in time to bump up his price to £65m, so that they can sell him to a CL club in Jan, 4 months before he can leave on a free.

Like Diego says, welcome to the world of Fosse <laugh>
