I didn't know you was such a touchy poster tbh. Just reckon ye list is a bit ****, don't take it personal.
Citizen Kane may not have been alive when his own club last won the top league title mate... so his judgement is questionable at best ... unless of course he was alive... but is suffering from short term memory loss or is still mentally blocking out the season in which the Spuds finished third in a two horse race
Prenton Park is a horrible little dive. Remember when it used to be considered like a lovely League One stadium when I was a kiddie. Now when you compare it to some of the stadiums down there its just a shed.
... rather than crumbling has been clubs that look light years away fom being the top club in their own city, never mind the country? .. fair enough then ... I do enjoy a good anarchic comedy thread
I'm thinking of clubs with a name people recognise around the world, teams with history that would make the PL amazing if they got to the stage of being in it.
Been there a few times and I cannot believe what I was reading, lived there for 22 years. Tranmere, bless their cotton socks, are the only club I know who have what looks like a copy and paste town crest as their official club logo these days. I didn't know things were getting quite so financially unstable
1. Leeds. 2. Liverpool. 3.Everton. 4 Man City. 5. Man Utd. 6. Rangers. 7. Celtic. 8.Forest. 9. Derby. 10. Sheff Utd. 11. Sheff Wed. 12. Wolves 13. Arsenal. 14. Spurs. 15. Villa. 16. Chelsea. 17. Newcastle. 18. Sunderland. 19. Leicester. 20. West Ham. Loads of good crowds. Loads of derbies.
Names like "Manchester's Second Club" or "The North West's Third Club" ? KDEN ...theyve been trending for a good few years now tbf
Ipswich Robson Forest Clough Crazy Gang Leeds Revie Paisley Pool United Fergie Everton Kendall Palace Venables Spurs Nicholson Chelsea Jose Arsenal Relegated I'm bored now.
Jokes aside, the 'ultimate' PL could be made up of as many traditional footballing rivalries as possible. Ideally mass brawls and multiple red cards in every set of fixtures. The sport has gotten too sterile over the years - just look at Liverpool and City fondling each other's egos as they play out 'the biggest rivalry in the history of the sport'. So something along the lines of: Man United Liverpool Arsenal Spurs Newcastle Sunderland Millwall West Ham Ipswich Norwich Swansea Cardiff Portsmouth Southampton Aston Villa Birmingham Derby Notts Forest Sheff Wed Sheff Utd Also Bristol City Bristol Rovers Wolves West Brom I have my doubts about Everton and City, their derbies haven't lived up to standards in recent years. Sorry @FosseFilberto, no room for Leicester in this one either. We'll find you a solution soon enough, chin up.
I'll chuck one in there ... Bristol City ... if they ever take off and get proper financial backing the potential would be enormous.. ...
Fosse I didn’t mean to upset you mate I just personally wouldn’t include Leicester in my Ultimate 20. I just think Leicester are a bit vanilla, to me it’s like inviting Jacques Villeneuve to an all star F1 race… maybe he would argue that he should be there but we all know nobody will wanna chat to him at the after party.
No worries mate ... even more remarkable that we're in that small elite that have won the Premier League title then? ... can't see another new member joining that exclusive club any time soon ... good luck with your entry to the European Super League too .. let's just hope they don't restrict the next attempt to winners
