Great post LBW. 100% agree, enjoy the moment before we face the unknown next season.
However this time we've got a manager whose actually got the teeshirt, knows his onions and has a decent start point with the players he's inherited.
Some clever transfer dealing and it might be difficult to keep serious optimism in check. Can't wait HTL

According to the report worlds leading financial experts (on ready to go)

Philipp hasn’t got a pot to piss in.

    My questions/ thoughts would be

    1) would this be a personal investment or is he investing on behalf of black rock

    2) if it’s personal for me this is good as it’s becoming more and more of a family affair

3)We then have links to the LD and Black Rock companies (this can’t be a bad thing)

    4) My gut is telling me if he does invest this is a Margarita/ Philipp thing.

    Then I haven’t got a clue :emoticon-0102-bigsm

can’t wait to see who does take the shares. Quite hoping it’s all three of them (satori, steward and Methven) as it will be very interesting.

Not sure there are many people in the world better at finding us a billionaire investor than the vice chair of BlackRock. Especially one who's motivated and has personal interest in getting them to back his son-in-law.

No need mate, it'll all appear on here anyway.

The title is the whole story in any case.

Obviously everyone who denies anything is happening can ignore it as well.

Sunderland’s never ending boardroom politics are now featuring a super rich Swiss billionaire who happens to be a key shareholder’s stepfather.

Phillipp Hildebrand has emerged as the key player in a bid to buy out the shares of Stewart Donald and Charlie Merhven.

Hildebrand married Kyril Louis-Dreyfus’s mother and the pair are one of the wealthiest in Europe.

Now financial wizard Hildebrand is taking a major interest in finding a new shareholder who will make his stepson even more central to affairs at the Stadium of Light.

Hildebrand is not likely to be personally involved but associates of his in the world of investment could now take out a significant chunk of the club.

His stepson has been in the awkward position of being a major but still minority shareholder who depends on allies like Juan Sartori.

Sources close to Donald and Methven, the previous ‘rulers’ of Sunderland suggest the deal happens if the price is right but that both are also content to stay if it is not.

Young Louis-Dreyfus joined with big plans and plans to spend but that was set back by Sunderland being stuck in League One.

Now they have promotion - and with new friends to work with - it could turn out to be major news for Wearside.

Even if nothing else in the piece is right, Nixon has it bang on with "Sunderland’s never ending boardroom politics"
