I totally understand the frustration of those with genuine tickets but nothing was helped by the idiots climbing over the fence or trying to push the gates open. French police are a different animal to English ones and if threatened the pepper spray comes out just before the guns.
I absolutely agree with you. No other country is going to fook about with our supporters, like our old bill have to tolerate, they will batter first over there and ask questions later. So if ticketless fans join the queue, if fake tickets join the queue, if ppl try to rush a gate or climb a barrier, everyone is going to get battered, not nice, not right, but it's the reality of policing in the rest of Europe, and let's be perfectly honest here, by now, if ALL Liverpool supporters do not know how to behave after two major disasters during their football history, what hope is there for the rest of us.
No trouble at the Madrid end; or AC Milan end in Athens https://www.worldsoccer.com/news/liverpool-fans-branded-worst-in-europe-122549
I've seen all the reports and videos of the mass queue/crush for a couple of hours or more before kick off but have seen nothing of how the problem was resolved in 30 mins. How did it go from the chaos being shown to the calm full seated stadium in half an hour?
bad boy Anyway, I don't know why the whole match wasn't e-ticket, this problem wouldn't have occured then. E-tickets worked perfectly fine for Madrid I heard, so why were our lot carrying paper tickets....hmmm....someone realised they were fraud and didn't care maybe?...it's usually the reaction to fake tickets I mean, IF that was the case. If ppl don't try and buck the system it won't bite you.
Probably all the fake tickets that took the seats of the real tickets still standing outside in the queue.
What pissed me off even more when it occured on the day, was I knew it was the Heysel Anniversary the very next day, and I insisted after Hillsboorugh and I insist again, no lessons have been learned, whoever is to blame, it's just another disaster waiting to happen. We had all the warning signs at Wembley last year. Anyway got that off my chest!
When England fans do it they are scum, when Liverpool fans turn up en mass on the perimeter of a stadium without tickets they are victims
It's been a terrible, absolutely horrific experience all round for Pool fans. It was bad enough getting rope a doped by Benzema et al, the French natives shouting "Real boomaye", the likes of Trent and Robertson having their pants pulled down for the Vinicius goal. As if all that wasn't hilarious bad enough you add all the flights to Paris being cancelled or delayed, touts rinsing them £2500 a pop, and some greater liverpool mayor getting mugged.... stuff of nightmares. My heart goes out to them, it really does. Even the ones in Putney
I'm very disappointed in some people that I've known a long time here tbh. The snide levels in every post you make, (when you occasionally crawl out from whatever wastehole you come from that is) is too GC for me. I could take it where you wanna take it but this ain't GC and dragging up all the **** from your ****, poundland man city clubs ****ins history of coaches touching up kids, and fuking little girls is something I won't do. . Lets drag this **** right down I'm all for it.
