Fair play to Johnson for setting this up like.
He has alot of potential to be a good manager. He seems to overthink things though instead of doing tthe obvious. In his own head he's a tactitional genius, but instead of sticking to the basics when he should have done, especially in League 1 where its pretty obvious physical presence and route 1 football is the way most teams play.
We played better under him when we had an injury crisis and he had a very minimal squad to choose from and limited tactics to decide which resulted in him having very little choices.

We played better when he had no choice but to play who was left . . . . that's 'cos he was an embarrassment and didn't have a clue, similar to when Bobby Robson accidentally got us to that semi-final when he had to pick from what was left due to injuries and suspensions. It's hard to believe that he was knighted for doing nothing noteworthy :emoticon-0108-speec

He has been a great servant of the club and become a club legend.

In the distant future us fans will still remember him fondly just as we talk of the G Force.

one of the few positives of our league one era was we were able to sign players like this. Players desperate to succeed rather than desperate to increase their salary.

    Quinn :emoticon-0103-cool:

"My son, who was born up here, who is Sunderland until he dies, he hasn’t had many good days out. He’s 24 and this was a special one. I got a bigger kick out of that than anything but it was the same for all fans.

“I don’t think I will ever forget the expression of joy. It was momentous after the game. All of the fans singing. Wise Men Say came out louder. They showed the passion of the city and it was thoroughly deserved.”

I loved the interview with Quinn when he said his son asked him, jokingly…..Dad why couldn’t you have made me support Man City or Arsenal.

Man City could never have matched our support at Wembley ...

... they win the title and most of the crowd look like a mural.

After seeing us lift the ‘play-off trophy’ for the 3rd tier, all I want is to see us lift a proper cup. Imagine an FA Cup win at Wembley?
